I met up with Adam as I fought my way through the crowd. I guess Adam wasn’t up for meeting the “awesome” Forrest Stacy too.
“Hey, best friend, what’s up?” Adam exclaimed.
I pushed some girl aside as I treaded to the edge of the crowd near the lockers. Adam followed me out of the mob.
“Nothing much,” I replied.
Adam laughed, “Yup, I guess it’s another ordinary day for us,” he replied as he opened to door for me.
We almost began to burst out laughing when we noticed that only one person was actually in class. “I thought everyone was here today!” I exclaimed.
Kris, one of the seniors who was lounging around in the teacher’s chair, sighed. “My girlfriend broke up with me when she found out that, that Stacy kid was coming to our school to choose a student journalist to write a story about him. What a stupid ass.”
Adam laughed, “Well actually Kris. You’re the real stupid ass here. You skip class at least two times a week and chose today to come.”
“Whatever,” Kris retorted, “Why don’t you and Sadie, your little girlfriend, go make out in a corner and leave me alone?”
I felt my face flame up as I glanced over to Adam, who was avoiding eye contact. “G-girlfriend?” I stuttered awkwardly.
Kris groaned, “Adam! You didn’t tell her!” I faced Adam and who was shifting his feet back and forth. He was a pretty laid back guy; I never seen him so nervous unless he-
“Sadie…” Adam started. I heard the door open up. Gina came rushing in, “Oh my gosh! I was looking for you everywhere! You should have followed the crowd but no!” Gina pulled my arm ushering me to go outside.
“Adam, I-“
“It was just a little crush. Go see that Forrest Stacy guy for all I care.”
“But I don’t want-“
Before I could finish my confession, Gina stole me out of the classroom. “Gina! What are you doing?” I exclaimed to her.
She froze for a moment then retaliated back at me. “What am I doing? I’m going to make your life SO much better than it already is!”
I grabbed her shoulders, “No! You don’t understand! Adam likes me!”
Gina rolled her eyes and clasped my cheeks. “C’mon Sadie, give me a chance! Once I tell you this, you will totally forget about Adam, no matter how hot or nice you think he is!”
Suddenly, I heard an unfamiliar cough. I looked to my side to see a tall guy. For a moment, my heart skipped a beat… or it was just my imagination. “Am I interrupting something?” he asked.
I looked at Gina then at our awkward situations. I shook off Gina’s grip of my face and let go of her shoulders before I then repositioned myself before the stranger.
“As a matter of fact, yes you are,” I snapped. Gina nudged my lightly with her elbow.
“Sadie… that’s-“
“Forget about him! What do you want?”
“Sadie,” Gina began, “This is Forrest Stacy.”
Oh Shit.

Sorry if it sounds rushed. I was just so excited to get chapter two down before it left my head..
