Chapter 7: Hot and Cold

After days of Natsu's stay on the hospital, after a week he was finally discharged. Those times at the hospital with Lucy, it is her who took care of him. His wounds, she took care of it. Anything what Natsu needs, she immediatly makes a way for it.

The master and butler are on their way to their mansion. As Natsu drive, Lucy didn't make a glimpse of him. Instead, she just stared outside the window.

With roaring silence, Natsu broke it. "Luce you okay?" He looked at her. Only receiving a plain mmm.

He sighed as he still focus his eyes on the road, "Is anything bothering you again?"

Lucy smirked as she messes her hair. "No. Nothing." She let out a large sigh.

Lucy's eyes caught those slowly dripping rain drops outside. "It's raining," she smiled to herself.

"Yeah."

Lucy sighed again as she stared outside the window with a slight grin plastered on her face. Somehow for her, it lightens her mood.

While on Natsu's part, the blonde dind't know that her partner is already stealing glance at her. She loves summer, but why is it she's more happy when its raining.

Lucy finally caught Natsu's eyes. Much at hus suprise, Lucy gave him a warm smile.

Flashforward

On the sunny morning of monday, Lucy woke up earlier unexpectedly. It's the first semester of her school. She is already a fourth year student at Fairy Academy.

She went out to her room, chin up. Lucy bumped into Natsu. "Early for today eh? Luce." He smiled as his hands full of white shining plates.

Lucy just gave him a smile as she grabbed her slingbag. Yes, sling bag. "Natsu, let's go" She demanded.

"How about breakfast?"

"I'll have it on school." She raised her brows and smirked.

"Oh." Natsu replied as he placed down placed down the plates he's carrying.

"Nari, please."

Nari in return, nodded at Natsu. "Sure. Be careful okay." Nari winked, which made Lucy's annoyance grow. The blonde just rolled her eyes as she faked a cough.

"Excuse me. Natsu?" Lucy crossed her arms while glaring at Nari. Nari, who noticed Lucy's wrath, she immediatly removed herself from the scene.

Natsu's eyes followed Nari's direction. "NATSU"

"What was that for Luce?" Natsu asked with a gentle voice.

"What? Is it time for flirting? Oh c'mon Natsu. Your first priority is me. And oh, I'm getting late for school. I don't need someone who's just wasting their time." Lucy frowned as she angrily turned her back at him. Natsu you baka.

She heard Natsu's steps following her, "Oh Luce do we need to hate each other again? We just reconciled." Natsu said, following her.

Lucy stopped and faced him. She plainly stared at Natsu's who now has a slight frown. The blonde thought that being angry won't do anything so she just gave up. "Fine. I'm sorry. Lets...just go," she said as she went directly to her car outside the gate.

Natsu POV

What's with her?

She's not her usual cheerful side again.

I noticed that every time Nari's with us, she changes.

Why?

It is not like I'm flirting with Nari.

If so, why do she care?

We are only one of her servants.

Of course she's my priority.

What made her think I choose Nari over her first?

After all, it's my job

We arrived at the school immediatly. It's still early in the morning so traffic is not a bother.

I parked the car. Making Lucy to get off the vehicle.

Oh. Her pen. I saw she left it. Knowing that she badly needs it, I immediatly grabbed the pen and rushed after her.

Clumsy Master.

"L-Lucy!?" My feet led me to their hall. It's all silent over here. I turned to look around. But I wasn't able to have a sight of her.

Afterwards, I felt someone tapping my shoulders. I turned to look at her. A gorgeous girl with red shining hair. She's looking at me furiously. "Excuse me but guardians aren't allowed to stay at our hall." She said.

"A-Ah no. It's not like I'm staying here long. I'm searching for my ma---No. I mean Lucy. Lucy Heartfilia. The one with a blonde hair?" I even gestured everything. She just nodded and smiled. How come she's scary and beautiful at the same time.

"It's Lucy you mean huh. I know her. So, who are you for her?" She gave me her killer smile. I can barely see that she's not a flirt.

I smiled back and suddenly I felt my cheeks warm. "I-I'm her butler." I replied, politely.

"Oh."

"Um. I have actually something to give her." And then I raised her starry yellow pen. "This."

She gave off a little laugh. "Oh a pen. Yes a pen." And then she continuosly laughed.

"Uh whats with it?"

She chuckled, "No it's nothing. That L-Lucy left her cute pen again."

My lips suddenly formed into a slight smile again. "So you chased her for this?" She pointed Lucy's pen.

I simply nodded. "I see. Don't worry I'll make sure this will reach her." She said, assured. Since I have that feeling that she is trustworthy, I handed over the pen to her. "I will leave Lucy to your care then."

"Yeah sure." And so she finally turned her back at me as she walks to her destination.

Wait..."Uh wait please?!"

The scarlet haired beauty faced me in return. "Yes?"

Darn. It took me seconds to say something. "M-May I know your name?" A hint of shyness is visible on my voice. Something like this isn't usual to me. Well. Maybe she has that kind of effect for me, probably.

She showed me a slight smile. This girl is expert on smiling huh. "Erza. Erza Scarlet. It's nice meeting you, uh..."

"Natsu. Natsu Dragneel."
