Kaiden up topXP
"Now will someone please tell me who this is?" Persephone asked as she gave a glance at Deninias and then turned to me.
"This is a mortal that I found in the Red Forest." Hades said sighing out.
"Ah, what is your name dear?" Persephone asked Kaiden as she gave a beautiful smile.
"None of your business whore." Kaiden said spitefully. As the two boys on either side of him were biting their tongues to keep there laughter at bay. Oh this was going to be fun.
Hades eyes grew dark at the comment that Kaiden managed to spew out without thinking of the consequences. Kaiden tried swallowing the lump in his throat that seemed to form as seconds of silence started to pass by. The lacrosse captain could see Hades knuckles turning white and his eyes narrowing very dangerously. Kaiden's eyes drifted over to Persephone as he saw her flushed face with anger written all over it. 'Well mother of gods am I screwed...' He thought to himself as he kept his face stoic to make sure he didn't show any emotion to his face.
"What did you say to me?" Persephone asked as she tried to keep a calm tone. Kaiden could feel Dioscuros grip tighten on his arm. The lacrosse captain turned his head slightly to look at the red head. Kaiden was surprised to see a slight look of worry stricken across his young face. Although Dioscuros could tell Kaiden was looking at him he didn't give any indication of it. Deinias tugged at Kaiden's arm, also indicating that he needed to be paying attention to what people were saying so he wouldn't be sent to have his head cut off.
"Did you hear me mortal or are you just stupid?" Persephone asked. Kaiden turned his attention back to her as he glared with hatred.
"Oh I heard you, I mean how could you not? Your high pitched voice somehow seems to echo through out the room." He turned to the red head to his left and then the blue haired boy. "That must have been a problem throughout the year if they managed to pop a kid out." Both boys looked a little pale at the statement seeming like they both knew something he didn't.
Hades was very close to punching Kaiden in the face. By now his stress level was almost over it's limit, he was not a patient god. Neither was Persephone but she seemed to take deep breaths before speaking.
"The child is not mine..." Persephone said as she lowered her eyes, looking a little dejected for a moment before the look disappeared and was replaced by anger again. 'Damn am I enjoying this, I'm like a happy kid in a candy store. This'll probably have some nasty consequences.' Kaiden thought dully.
"Hades." Persephone said as she strained her voice to keep calm and collected. The man's head turned towards her as his eyes lightened a little bit.
"Yes?" Hades replied softly.
"Take him down to the slave quarters. I want him to be a footman for a couple of your sons and yourself. Since I'll be leaving soon for my mothers place in Paris." Persephone explained. Kaiden thought for a second about his times from reading Greek Mythology. He remembered Hades little kidnapping story in greater detail than others. The teenager seemed to recall Hades kidnapping Persephone from the fields as she picked delicate flowers and put them in a basket that hung from her arm. He whisked her away off her feet as he descended into the underworld in his black shining chariot.
"...-ortal!" Kaiden snapped out of his thoughts as he turned to Hades who had an irritated look on his shaven face.
"Pardon? Didn't catch that." Kaiden said truthfully as he looked around confused to see Persephone not there anymore. Hades sighed while running a hand through his hair.
