PROLOGUE...
'No Mummy please don't!' I screamed across the bridge.
My mother had a crazed look in her eyes and yelled above the wind,' Soon we will be together my sweetheart. Don't forget your true family.'
I crawled across to her over the large footpath, blood staining my party dress and glass all through my hair. 'No Mummy you don't want to do this. Don't go. Please Mummy don't you love me?' I whimpered to her.
She smiled a sick smile and winked,' Don't worry, you will never be truly alone my Scarlette. One day I will have eternity to love you.'
'No Mummy. Please don't. I need you. Don't Mummy!' I cried, tears running rivers down my face, the wind whipping my bloodstained clothes and ragged hair around harshly.
She took another step forward, once step until the edge of the dangerous crumbling bridge ended. She held her arms out and closed her eyes with a smile on her face.
'No Mummy, don't! Don't leave me, please don't!' I screamed, but it was if she couldn't hear me.
She whispered to me,' Don't worry, I will see you sooner than you think. Then, we will have eternity together.'
I shouted to her, my words getting carried away in the wind,' Mummy, no!'
'Happy seventh birthday Scarlette, I love you,' she murmured.
Then she fell.
