Dad drove us down to the police station, me crying with tears runnning down my face to fall into my lap. My dad kept looking at me, i guess he was checking if i was ok. But im not. I just saw my dead mother.

i am not ok.

When we got to the police station, a policeman came out to greet us. I guess dad must have called him on the way, and i just didnt take any notice. i was to stuck in my own foggy haze to take any notice of anything.

We went in, and we sat down in a cold room, my dad and i. I clung to him, because i was too scared to be alone. Five minutes later, two policeman came in.

'Scarlette, what happened today? i need your exact recall of the day,' a policeman asked me. i mentally called him afro dude, cause i swear his afro was bigger than red fu's.

'Well, my dad, i mean my foster dad, took me to go shopping for a new dress for school, nd as i was going to the change rooms. i saw my mother. I started crying and dad held me back, but then i chased after her, but i lost her,' i told them, reliving the events in my head.

The other policeman looked at my dad, and said,' Sir, would you be able to recall the events from your point of view?'

my dad sighed,' well, i was taking my daughter, sorry, my foster daughter to the store to buy her the dress. We were planning for staying for the day, but then Scarlette started screaming, and i looked at where she was screaming at and i saw her supposably dead mother. Then she must have panicked and run away, and thats when scarlette started screaming at her and chased her. I found scarlette sobbing on the floor, murmuring over and over, she's supposed to be dead.'

Thepoliceman shared  grim look. Afro dude said,' we will get on this right away. I suggest staying home until shes found, because its not normal when dead women are suddenly clothes shopping, and i am extremely worried she will target Scarlette or you.'

I just felt numb. All of this made no sense.

"cmon sweetie, lets go home,' my dad told me.

We then got up and left the policestation, my dad letting me lean on him. We went out to the car.

And i started screaming again.

On the car in what looked like blood, were the words,' Dont forget your true family.'

The words my mum spoke to me when i was seven on the bridge.

Then i fainted, and my world went black.
