McGonnagal called in all of the prefects to go over duties. When the Gryffindor and Slytherin prefects saw Draco and Hermione they couldn't close their mouths. Mainly because they weren't fighting, in fact they looked to be gazing into each others eyes without either of them realizing. It took Blaise clearing his throat awkwardly to fill the silence that engulfed the room to snap them out of their trance in each others eyes. They jumped apart abruptly with a blush on each others cheeks. McGonnagal chose that moment to start the meeting about prefect duties. The meeting went smoothly with the usual glares from Slytherin to Gryffindor student all except the obvious head boy and girl who were whispering almost silently in the back so no one would notice.
"Have i ever told you how beautiful the sunset makes your hair look?" Draco asked with pure affection.
Hermione blushed but before she could make a flirty comment back they were interrupted by Blaise clearing his throat and when they looked up everyone was staring at them. Ginny was the first to glare at Draco then give Hermione a ' what the hell? ' look. Hermione just blushed and shrugged while mouthing ' i will tell you later.' The test of the meeting wen on smoothly and before anyone knew it they were at Hogwarts. " Oh I almost forgot, Draco and Hermione are to share a dorm this year in order to show house unity and I suppose i must give you the password so you all may enter as you please, the password is royalty, now run along." When McGonnagal had finished the prefects exited to compartment with ranges of emotions on their faces. The head students' had a nonchalant look as they already knew. The Ravenclaw student had a sort of disgusted but are choosing not to say anything look. The Hufflepuffs looked like they were high, as per usual. The Slytherins all had a smug/smirky look an their faces. While the Gryffindors were practically foaming at the mouth in rage. Then Pansy decided to show up. " I WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS, HERMIONE DOES NOT DESERVE TO LIVE WITH THAT M--!!!" Draco cut her off before she could get the crude word out of her mouth. But he hadn't cut her off by saying anything no, he decided to take his hand and cover her mouth. Then he did something that made Hermione swoon.
