Chapter 8: Betrayal?

AJ's house........

I woke and saw a note from AJ saying she had to run to the grocery store to get ready for the Bella's birthday. After I had my cup of coffee I texted her to meet me in the park around noon. AJ texted back. "Okay baby see you then. 😊" I got dressed and realized it was 10:30 so I drove to Everette's Jewelry and bought a promise ring for AJ and I ate lunch at Burger King then drove to the park with her ring in its box. As I was walking out of my car I say AJ. KISSING DEAN?!??! 'Whys she kissing Dean! She's my girlfriend not his! I've been getting the shit beat outta me for her and this is how she repays me?!' I thought. I ran to the parking lot crying a bit and threw the ring into the streets. Cars ran it over into millions of little particles of dust. "Now I know what my heart looks like......" I mumbled as I got in the car and started it up AJ turned around and started running towards the parking lot as I drove off.

AJ's House, my room.......

I locked my door and AJ kept texting me and calling me. It hurt me to ignore her so much. "Cam? Please talk to me." AJ asked bawling her eyes out outside of my door. I walked over, unlocked it, and cracked the door open. "What?! I saw what happened. You were kissing Dean! How long has this been going on huh?!" I yelled. " I didn't kiss him Cameron I promise! I was sitting on the bench and he came up and kissed me! I swear!" AJ kept crying. "I'm sorry AJ.......I love you and I wanna believe you but............it's hard to believe you after what I saw......"I explained sadly. "Cam......please believe me." AJ kissed me for a few minutes then I returned the favor. "I'll trust you AJ......." I opened the door and brought her in for a hug. " I'm sorry AJ.......I lost the gift I wanted to give you to be honest. I bought you a promise ring but when I saw what I did see I threw the ring into the road and it got crushed......." I'll still take you to dinner tonight and then we can go buy you a new one. Okay?" I asked begging for forgiveness. "Okay Cam." AJ sniffled and stood on her tippy toes and kissed me. "I love my AJ." I smiled as I kissed her back. "I love you too Cammybear." AJ giggled and tackled me playfully. She stole my hat and we ran around the house chasing each other. "Cmon babe! Gimme my hat! Pleeeease?!???" I begged. "Okay." AJ handed me the hat but jerked her hand with the hat quickly. "Only if you promise to believe me though." AJ smirked. "Okay. I promise." I said snatching the hat and putting AJ on my back. "Let's watch a movie." I smiled and carried her to the couch. She and I watched Jingle all the way and went to Olive Garden and then got her a new ring with a sapphire in it.
