Alpha's Choice (On Hold)

Ch.7

I was going to find Alpha and make him clear things up. What the hell was this? Was this a curse? Was I going to turn into a werewolf?

I was going to find him. We, mermaids, are excellent at tracking and its telling me that Alpha is where the humans are.

I swim to the surface morphing into human. As I reach the sand, I feel many eyes on me. That's normal because we glow. This girl walks up to me looking like a sixteen year old. "Hey you! Whats your name?" "Dione, whats yours?" "Full name?" She says. "Dione Esther Luna" she rolls her eyes. "Mine is Nicole." Then she looks over my shoulder and giggles. I turn over and see him. Alpha.

I see white light glow on my Marks, as if they were on fire, except this was the only time when my Marks didn't bother me. It felt reliving. He giggles with Nicole. She goes over to him and they kiss. When they separate, i walk over to Nicole and ask "hey this your boyfriend?" I ask. "Yes he is." She proudly says. "Umm . . . Nik lets go to my apartment." Alpha nervously says. "But I just got a new friend, Sebastian." Nicole argues. I raise my eyebrows at him, " you guys should go, Nik you can call me later. Here" i take out a piece of paper and a pen that i made appear in my back pocket. I write down my phone number and give it to her. Then i wink at Nik and Sebastian. As they leave Sebastian turns around to look at me. I smile and give him the middle finger.

As soon as they leave my Marks start burning again with an unbearable pain. I stay at the beach for a while while they get to their apartment. I lay down on an empty beach chair. When i see nobody looking I quickly transform the shirt into a bikini top and the jeans into a bikini bottom. I close my eyes and try to take a tan. "Umm . . . Hey there." I hear a deep male British accent. I open my eyes. I see abs, muscle, and a blue eyed seventeen year old looking hot guy. He had blond hair. "Excuse me?" I say. "Your laying down on my beach chair." He gives out a soft laugh. "Oh. Ohh sorry. My bad. I thought nobody was using it so i just. . . I dont know, used it?" I say and stand up. He was about 6'2. I was 5'7.

"No, you could use it, i mean that must hurt." He looked at me with sympathy. "What? What must hurt?" I ask because i had no idea of what he was talking about. He just points to my Marks. He stares and then asks, "Is it a tattoo? Wait tattoos aren't supposed to look like that." "Kind of." I say. "Look i have a tattoo and i never looked like that." He turns around. On his back there is a mermaid tattoo so mesmerizing i gasp. "It's beautiful" i say. I cant help but touch it.

As i ran my fingers, tracing the mermaid's drawing, I felt the blue-eyed blond, smile. His skin was warm and soft. "Hey whats your name?" I ask. "My name's Lucas Spencer Janson. If you want it short then it would be Lucas Janson. If you want to call me like my friends call me, it would be Luke. What's yours?"

"Oh mine, its Dione Esther Luna or just Dione. Esther Luna are my last names. I dont have a middle name." I say. He turns around and I remember Alpha.

"Hey do you have a car?" I ask. His blue eyes look at me with curiosity but then he says, "Yea, why?" "May i ask you to give me a ride?" I ask shyly because he made me nervous. He looked thoughtful for a moment. "Okay. Come on." He starts walking towards the parking lot. There was this one car that stood out out of all the other cars, but that was probably not Lucas's.

I stopped to stare at all the other cars. I stood there like for five minutes until I heard, "Hey come on Dione you are going to be late" i turn and see Lucas standing in between the car I really liked and a gray car that looked nice. I went over to him and he smiled. I got close to the gray car, ready to get in it.

Lucas laughed softly, "What are you doing, Dione? This is my car." He pointed at the Lamborghini. I was about to laugh, I didn't expect it. I walked over to the passenger side. I was about to open the door when Lucas grabbed the handle and opened the door. He bowed, gesturing for me to get in and as he did he said, "Ma'am ." "What a gentleman." I say and laugh. He grins and jogs to the driver's side. He opens the door and sits down. He quickly gets out at white t-shirt and puts it on. He smiles at me, "Where is it that we are going?" "We're going to . . . Visit a friend." I say because he is human and he has no need to know who im "visiting" or the reason why. I give him the address. Lucas starts the engine and we head to Alpha's department.

"We are here," he announces with a smile. I look at him, "Lucas thank you so much for bringing me hear and everything but its okay you dont have to wait for me because ill get a ride back to my house." "No it okay, i can wait." He says. "Lucas . . ." I try to argue. "He looks forward and stubbornly says "I insist." I roll my eyes,"fine. It will be quick." I walk out of the car. I look back and see Lucas looking at me. He smiles and I laugh but i look down.

I knock on his door. Nobody answers. I knock again. Still nobody answers. I open the door and get in. I just stare at what's happening. A shirtless Alpha and a dressed Nicole were making out. "Umm Dione." Nicole says confused and weirded out. "Alpha! What? Why?" I yell. He stand up and grabs my arms. "Look Dione, im sorry. I didnt mean to but I thought you wouldn't care since shes human and we're not. I mean you and i are nothing. The Mark I thought was just a signature that you were mine because I really like you. I do like you, i swear." Nicole just stares in shock. "Look what you did to me! I dont even know what this is! Its all bruised but when you're close it shines and i hate it. When it's bruised its always burning!" He looks at me confused but i ingnore him. I go over to the kitchen because it's right next to the bedroom with no doors. There's a knife on the kitchen counter and i grab it. I grip it so tight, my knuckles are white. By swiping a knife over your Marks they disappear but you bleed. Although you bleed, you dont faint or pass out. "No!what are you doing?" Alpha hollers at me. I ignore him.

I hear someone enter the apartment it was Lucas. "I heard yelling and i just wan-" "Dione!" I swipe the knife over the swirling lines of the Mark. It starts bleeding. Lucas runs over to me at the same time Alpha does. I just stare at them because i dont know what else to do. Lucas seems frozen. Alpha touches the place on my collar bone where he sank his teeth in. He places the palm of his hand on my collar bone. He closes his eyes and when he opens them, his eyes change color. His eyes became orange. He looks from Lucas to me and then again. "Human." He says. And then he pushes me back, hard. It sends me flying. I embraced myself for the wall but no wall came. It was a window. I gave out a yell as the glass made contact with my back but it didnt last long. He had sent me flying across the kitchen, onto the window, and outside. My skull made contact with Lucas car. I became unconscious.
