Lilly and Bell dragged their feet down the stairs with heavy hearts knowing that Bells mum ( Mrs Abott ) would be angry that Arthur had managed to once again to slip out of socialising with his family. They weren't going to walk back up them three flights of stairs again to try and persuade him because their first encounter was creepy enough.

"Well. Where's the boy?" Mrs Abott asked sharply when they entered the grand kitchen. It was painted light green and was nice and cosy with its soft wooden furniture and the sunlight spilling into the room. "Said he wasn't hungry," replied Bell miserably. "Did you tell him I was making my signature pot roast?" Questioned mum. "No but I don't really think it'll make a difference Mrs Abott," said Lilly. "Ahhh your probably right," mum said heavily," I don't know why's go into him lately. He was so much like his father when he was younger," said mum with a dreamy look. "Anyway who's hungry !"said mum with a more cheerful expression.

They ate their dinner and told each other about their week. When all the plates were empty and Mrs Abott had stopped insisting that Lilly have some more , Bell and Lilly went back to Bells room. Her room was on the Second floor and had a turquoise painted door. When they stepped inside , there was posters everywhere. They were all of one direction and she had a matching bed set and curtains. Her walls were painted a light red colour and she had a flat screen tv on the wall. Lilly had been in this room many times and now that she was staying over in the Abotts house for the bank holiday , she was in it more than ever.

"Sooo. What do you think about my brother ," asked Bell nervously for this was the first time her best friend had seen him. "Well, he's a bit .... strange?" Lilly tried hopefully. "Yeah I know. He not usually like himself. I remember him to be cheerful and always joining in. It's ever since he turned 12 he's been acting funny," replied Bell sadly. "I think he's hiding something," said Lilly matter-of-factly. "You do!?!" exclaimed Bell in a very surprised voice. "Well yeah. Obviously. I mean like he hasn't been coming out of his room often and he looks very pale," said Lilly as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Do you think we should try and figure out what he's doing then ?" Said Bell in a small voice yet you note the excitement. "Ok then," said Lilly , beaming. So they started to make plans on Arthur and how they would get into his room.
