Alexis was on her bed, she decided to call her family. She was missing them already. It was 2 am in the morning that means it would be 7 am in London, her mother would probably be awake.She opened her FaceCom account, and called her mom.
The screen flashed the image of her mum sitting on a table, sipping on a cup of tea.
" Hi darling,shouldn't you be asleep?" Alexis's mother asked.
" I' m jet lagged, I feel wide awake and I just had a coffee. " Alexis replied.
" So did you settle in, food,unpacking and ........" Alexis didn't let her mother finish.
"Mom! I'm not a baby. You don't need to worry about me, I'm fine!"
" I know your not Alex but your only 18 and you'll always be my baby no matter what"
" So, where's the rest of the family?"
"Lola left for work, Cece's gone to school and your dad is in the shower"
" Thanks for bringing up that image in my head,mum." Alexis didn't need the image of her dad singing behind the shower curtain to come up in her head.
"Anyway, Alexis. I'm getting late for work, call me later. Bye love you. Will call when the whole family's at home"
Alexis disconnected the chat and went to bed.
THE NEXT DAY

Alexis woke up in her bed, the white sheets spilling around her. She ran her hands through her hair. She got up and headed to the bathroom, Alexis didn't like getting up and immediately checking her phone. She brushed her teeth and washed her face. She then went to the kitchen and poured herself some Lemon Juice and made herself an omelette. She sat on the counter, devouring her food and of course stalking her friends on Instagram. Levi had a new boyfriend named James White. Sasha and Maddie were enjoying college. Amber took a photo with a 5 year old cancer patient.
She missed home, but she wanted to pursue her dreams. She had been through depression and a lot of heated arguments to get here and now she couldn't back down.She put her plate and mug in the sink and went to get dressed. She put on her pastel pink,white and mint blue 3/4 sleeve t shirt with light blue jeans. She curled her hair. She stuck her legs into her pink ankle length boots and slipped on her statement necklace.
She switched of all the lights and grabbed her bag. Today, she decided to have a bit of fun and explore New York. She had signed up with ' NY Buddy Tours' ( made up name). They provided a tour buddies for the new comers to New York to tour around the city, but first she had to convert all the pounds she had into dollars and open a bank account.
She called Sam, the kind and friendly cab driver and her first friend in New York.He was on his way to pick her up. Her first stop was at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, she had had converted all her money to dollars and opened her bank account. She then reached the 'NY Buddy Tours' building.
The lady at the front desk welcomed her, " Hello dear, how may I help you?"
Alexis smiled, " I'm looking for my buddy"
" Your name?..." The lady asked
" Alexis Archer"
" Ah yes, you're buddy is Paris Daniels"
