Wishes

i wish i could help you
i wish you could see
i'm not trying to hurt you
just to help.

You used to say all that was needed, and more
and make me smile all the time
you are way smarter than you say
and you ARE beautiful.

You say you can't tell anyone
about your problems
but i can see
straight through you

You don't want to trust,
or be trusted.
you think you are destructive and
a curse to those who you love and love you

Your silent tears say it all
and my wishes almost break through into truth
but to cry for you when you're so strong
feels like melodramatic indifference.

For i wish:
that you could be happy
that you could find peace
that your torment ends
that you stay so incredibly strong through it all
that you could learn to trust
that you knew that you are perfect in your flaws
that you forgive
that you know this:
"When you say 'I can't do this anymore, I just can't', it makes my heart break and I WISH WITH ALL MY HEART that I could take your place and end your suffering.  Please don't take the 'easy' way out, it is so much worse for everyone, including you.  Given your past I know you have tried before and I hope that you can hold on for one.  more.  year.  Just one and then you're free and happy and on the way to mending.  Just hold on, because there are so many people here that care for you and want the absolute perfectest life that is possible on this earth.  You can't see, your sadness blinds you.  Hold on, hold on, hold on."

Sometimes i think i wish too much.

i don't do. 

i don't cry with you.

i don't know enough to help you.

even if wishing doesn't help,
