Everything was going smoothly so far. Dean Winchester was currently driving Sammy and himself to their first day to a new school. This time, it was final. His junior year in high school so far has put him through 2 other buildings in different states before settling on this one. His dad found a nice school, owned by a co-workers brother. Through these connections, the founder agreed to let Dean and Sam join, staying in their dorms for a much cheaper cost.
The two pulled up into the main circle, leading into the dormitories. As he parked in the unloading section, he looked up at the building with a slow whistle. Sammy could only nod in agreement. How did they get so lucky? Once they unpacked the car, carrying their own bags, they were met by a student adviser. She had a name tag and everything.
"Good morning, boys. You must be the Winchesters. My name is Naomi Novak. I will be your student dorm adviser this year. If you have any questions, feel free to ask." She led the brothers into the building. They were greeted by a nice lounge area, a few students studying or play video games.
"This is the dormitory buffer zone. Since they are not coed but in the same building, we made sure both sexes could have a place to meet. No boys on the girls side and no girls on the boys side. As adviser, however, I have permission to show you to your dorms." Naomi smiled a very fake smile. She specifically eyed Dean, warning him not to go over to the female side. She led the two down the first hallway, entering the male dorm area. She waited at the end of the hall, knocking on the door. A younger male, about Sammy's age answered, smiling as he had to look up to the Winchester. "Guess you're my new roomie! My name's Gabriel."
Sam nodded his hello, moving past his brother to enter the dorm. Left alone with the DA, Dean turned. "So tell me... Are you always a bitch or is it just to the new guys?"
"E-excuse me?" Naomi stopped in her tracks, peering back at Dean, surprised at his words. She crossed her arms, glaring up at the Winchester. He looked back with raised eyebrows for a moment before nodding his head slowly.
"All the time then? Cool." Dean gave his ever so famous smirk, chuckling softly. This caused Naomi to practically explode with anger. Of course, with her position as dorm adviser, she sucked it up. Ignoring the male, she lead him down the hallway to an elevator.
"This is where I leave you. I assume you know how to find your own way around?" She grinned rather menacingly. "Go up to the second floor, room 29. It should be the fourth door on your right or so." She flashed her fake smile once more before turning on her heels to walk back to the buffer.
Once the wicked witch was gone, Dean followed her instructions cautiously. He went to the second floor, tapping his foot to the beat of one of his favorite songs, Carry On My Wayward Son by the band Kansas. Once he was at his destination, he hesitantly knocked on the door. Of course, his knock didn't sound that way. It was strong and confident. Just like the warrior he was.
When the door was opened, Dean would be lying if he said he wasn't shocked at how small the boy on the other side was. They were close in height, but still had a difference of a few inches. The small boy wore a larger trench coat over a suit. His tie was crooked and his hair wasn't brushed. When he got a chance to look his roommate in the eyes, he was met with stunning blue orbs. He couldn't look away.
"You must be Dean Winchester." The voice spoke. It was more frail then Dean's own. "Come in. My name is Castiel Novak. But just Cas is fine. I hope you don't mind the crosses. I wasn't supposed to be getting a roommate this year." Dean entered, chuckling before breaking into a hysterical laugh.
"I'm good with the crosses and shit but," He took a moment to get his last laugh out before continuing. "Novak? As in Naomi Novak? Dude, that sucks. She's a bitch." Cas seemed slightly offended but Dean could careless. That was his attitude. Uncaring and sarcastic.
"Naomi's a bit bossy but she isn't a-" Cas seemed to avoid saying the word. "She isn't that bad..." He walked over to his own bed which sat across from Deans. Cas's side of the room was decorated a single poster of Elvis Presley and a small record player which sat beside his bed.
"What records you got?" Dean asked, beginning to unpack his things. He peered over his shoulder at the Novak.
"Just...Elvis. He's the only singer I can actually listen to without the lyrics being about sex." He responded honestly, pulling out a bin of records. They were neatly alphabetized first by album, then song title. Dean couldn't help but keep staring. Cas was so interesting and different from everyone else. The Winchester didn't know how to act around him. It was bothering but also a good feeling.

Short first chapter like usual... Here's a little Destiel. And of course carry on my wayward son is Dean's favorite. I hope you all enjoy the story so far, even though it's just a single chapter... THE POINT IS!
