My school just finished a poetry unit, so expect some spam from me! The first one I'll post is my favorite, entitled Thieving. It's a narrative poem.

One day, I stole an apple red
And ran into the day ahead
When I got home, I slammed he door
And would regret it evermore.

The next day, I'd start anew
But no, I laced up my midnight shoes
The black I wore forever stained
The good rep that I had maintained.

Once night fell, I went outside
Opened up a window wide
Broke in and stole, but what, a book
Add it to what I had took.

When I got back, my conscience raged
Telling me that I had changed
Whispers soon dissolved that voice
They told me that I had a choice.

Giving in, I began anew
A life of terrible things, I knew
Stealing one and stealing all
Until one day, came my fall.

The woman shrieked and made a call
Terrified, I tried to stall
But no, they learned my awful ways
And prison overtook my days.
