At first I thought it was either Dan or Sam but when I turn around I was ready to have a heart attack. It was some of Maria's friends. There was Becky, Jessica, Melissa, Anita and Katie. "Hey hun." Becky said. "Do you know where your sister is?" I looked up at her trying to speak, but no words came out. "Uhm. " I struggled. "No, sorry." They only looked at me and smiled. "You should check the woods." Anita said. "Yeah I'm sure you'll find her there!" Said Katie. "Ladies, why don't we take her there?" Said Melissa.

They all nodded in agreement and dragged me by the arm to the edge of the woods. I saw Dan and Sam walking towards the bus stop and they were looking at us. We started to walk along the dirt path until we got to fat, tall tree that stood roughly to the right of the center of the woods. Tied to that tree was my sister. She was naked, covered in blood and dirt and had her once long blonde hair cut up to her shoulders and died blue. "Maria!" I yelled. She lifted her head. "Hahaha tell your skank to stay away from my brother and to get a fucking life. Prostitution obviously isn't enough for her to pay the bills." Becky said as they walked down the path. I stood her up, took off my sweater and got my gym shorts out of my school bag and put it on her.

I started to walk her down the street to our house when I saw Becky's clique standing with Dan and Sam. They were all watching and laughing as I walked my sister across the street. Slut, bitch, whore. They called those names so many times and it never occurred to me once that, this is how people saw my sister. We got in the house and I lied her on the floor and called an ambulance. I didn't know where the blood came from so I didn't know how to stop it. Her wrists had been tied and there were marks and bruises all over her legs and face. Why did they do this to her? Was the only question I tried to focus on, not "why did Dan and Sam watch, laugh and agree with the horrid terms used?" Or even "why did they leave her in the woods and tell me about it?" Too many questions, too little time.

When the ambulance finally got here I decided to call in sick with the school and then to call my parents and Sean. My parents only blamed me. "I told you not to leave her alone with those people" they said. "If she dies then this will be in YOUR hands." They said. "We should've brought her with us." They said. Sean didn't have the time to worry about it. He only told me to help her out during this time that she needed me the most and to make sure nothing happens to her. I wish he was here to help me out. I can't do this on my own, I never could but they left me with the responsibility anyways. I wish I could run away. No one would look for me, no one. But I had to watch Maria, I couldn't let anything worse happen to her.
