I am running, you are running, we are running.

I feel my heart pounding in my chest, the constant thumping makes a soothing beat in my head. I hear the ragged pants of our breaths. Clouds of air escapes our chapped lips from the cold fall night.

I look up to see pinks and oranges blazing through the dusk sky, gradually fading into a deep blue.

We do not have a plan. We are just running to the big beauty of the night. Right when you think you are close, it once again escapes your grasp. The more I run the farther it seems to get.

I look over to see it casting a heavenly glow on your porcelain skin. You take a sip of the sinful liquid from the forbidden bottle. You remove the bottle from your pink lips and a smile takes over your face. Your eyes light up brighter than the stars, that are starting to creep out into the night sky.

As we run the street lights blur with the trees. Everything is blurry except the big beauty of the night, it's a clear illuminated circle of beauty. I run faster desperate to touch its pureness. The wind causes a tear to roll down my rosy cheek. I am high off pure bliss. I let myself laugh, the first real laugh that has escaped me in months.

In this moment, I am free, you are free and we are chasing the moon.
