An evolution revolution,
Sets the stage,
For absolution.
A roar of giants,
A booming walk.
Life defiant,
As the world balks.
It's the time of dinosaurs,
So violent and wild.
A march across Pangea,
Evolving all the while.
Making monsters,
Of all shapes and sizes.
Scaly behemoths,
The predator rises.
Goliath herbivores,
And flying reptiles.
The earth is lush and tropic,
Indomitably wild.
Herds of giant walking towers,
Gallop with the wind.
But like all that's come before,
The dinosaurs must end.
Rulers of Earth,
For millions of years.
But still they fell,
With an abscence of tears.
How can we compare,
When we see what we have done?
How can we succeed,
When all we do is run?
The dinosaurs were here so long,
We are the blink of an eye.
How do we succeed in life,
When even giant monsters die?
When the greatest life,
In the planet's history,
Takes a final bow,
It makes us a mystery.
How can we survive,
An existence so cruel?
My friends I must confide,
I feel like a fool.
To see the vast reality,
That we are borne to,
And be so self centered,
Naught but forlorn fools,
Look back upon the past,
Of roaming monsters.
And see that we are nothing,
But our future's haunters...
