DIANA(the story of her life)

CHAPTER 3

Months passed, and we started receiving our monthly allowance from the gold hearted couple.Months passed that I didn't even noticed that our graduation is drawing nearer and nearer.

Oh! I forgot to tell you.The very first month that we received our allowance, the Craigs were here in the country.They brought us to these beautiful places.. God......... I swear! That's my first time to go to those places. And I really enjoyed it so much.

They asked us about things, yah know personal stuffs. And when they found out that I'm already parent less, they asked if I'm open to adoption. And I said, "YES."

When they talked about it with Aunt Liza, I was not surprised at her answer. She just said, "do whatever you want with that girl.I don't care."

See that! They really love me! FUCK 'EM.

But I thank her for saying that, cause the Craigs got more eager of adopting me.And they said that I have to move out of their custody A.S.A.P. Good thing, Zero's alone in her apartment and offered me to stay there with her.

"Know what Diana,I still can't believe that we're sleeping under the same roof. Eating together. Going to and from school.Doing homeworks on the same table." she said while we lay awake on the bed.

"And having the same answers,too." I said. She sat up and faced me.

"Hey! I didn't forced you t share your answers to me. You voluntarily gave it to me."She said sounding guilty.

"Yeah, you didn't forced me."I said while nodding. " Crying beside me,saying,'Diana please, spare me some blessings.' That's the style."

She frowned and lay back."Yeah, whatever."

Midnight came,but I'm still wide awake.Waiting for the sleep fairy to pass by.

The next day, while in the middle of our Math class, Miss Rivera called us up in her office. We've been saved.

I wonder what she's going to tell us, It's not usual that she calls us in the middle of the class...

"WHAT?!! We're going to London and live a British life?" I shouted. "No, really?"

"Yes, Ms. Craig, You're going to study there together. That's what your mother told me last night over the phone."

OMHG! I can't believe this is happening.Somebody pinch me!!

"But you're not going there to live like a royalty, you have to finish your education. Are we clear with that?" Miss Rivera said.

"I know.. But Oh my gosh! I mean, that's London. Where the Queen lives." I said still not believing what's going on.

I looked at Zero, she doesn't seem to be happy." Zero, cheer up."

She tried to smile. "I'm afraid I can't go with you, Diana."

"What! But why?" me and Miss Rivera asked in chorus.

"You know, I gotta help my parents out. I'm the only one they can count on to." She turned to me. " I'm sorry, but I can't."She said trying not to cry.

"But it would be a lot of fun if you'll go with me."I said

"I know you'll still enjoy life there even without me. You're a positive person." I can't believe this.

And that's what happened. Zero kept her word. So, we just enjoyed our remaining time together.Till the day of my flight,I'm still hoping that Zero will change her mind.

"Aren't you really coming with me? You could hide inside my luggage if you want." I said half smiling.

"Don't be childish,Diana.You can do it." She smiled and hugged me."Go on."

"I'll miss Zero." And tears started to stream down on my face. I really hate saying goodbye to her.She's more of a sister to me.

But now, I'll have to take the road without my Best Buddy.
