Mycroft carried the small, still slightly frightened child down the oak stairs of the Holmes manor. Sherlock raised an eyebrow as his elder brother comforted and shushed the child. How had she gotten of so easy? He wondered. And the child was in Pajama's instead of the uncomfortable dress Mycroft had originally planned to dress little Ivy in, the child really did have her father charmed. It was only when Mycroft whispered in Sherlock's ear that he got the truth. He glanced over at the little girl who was hanging onto Mycroft's shirt for dear life. The trio then walked into the kitchen, where Violet Holmes was preparing a fabulous dinner. "Really Mike!?" She exclaimed as she stared at the pajama clad little girl, who had clearly gotten off quite easily. "If you had done something like that I would of given you a sore little tush." Ivy's face flushed a bright shade as Violet tsked at her outfit. "Really Mike, this is a nice affair, I would expect you of all people to take the attire seriously..." And since Mycroft knew he wouldn't hear the end of it, he found himself dressing Ivy in the most uncomfortable dress. "Daddy!!" She yelled. "Yes Ivy." He replied most patiently. "It's uncomfortable" Her voice had turned into an embarrassed whisper. "Mikeyyyy!!!!" Violet yelled from downstairs. "I'm sorry dear..." Mycroft hesitated, but placed the child onto his hip and hurried downstairs. "There you are Ivy!" Violet exclaimed. "Now you look quite lovely... I see Mike has really looked to complement your colors." Violet looked quite content now. "Mycroft" Mycroft corrected. "Whatever darling." Came the flippant response.
