It was Ivy Holmes' first day of primary school, and her father had stopped his work to see his little girl off. "Stop fussing, stop scowling, just stay still..." Came Mycroft's frustrated cries as he adjusted Ivy's tie for the fourth time. " Just leave it be" Or there will be trouble he warned. Finally he decided the child was presentable and he hurried her out the door to the dark car that was waiting. Ivy turned to wave as the car pulled away from the mansion, but her daddy had already disappeared back inside. "He never has time for me." She thought glumly as she pulled on the tie. "Not wise young Ivy." Came Anthea's mysterious voice from the passenger seat. The miserable child sighed and slunk back into the plush leather seats. Apon arrival Ivy began to notice she was quite terrified. She wondered if the kids would like her, and if she would like her teacher. Soon she was swept up in the waves of students finding their homerooms.
After a miserable day of being bored to death (not to mention chocked by that death trap they called a tie) Ivy was ready to return home. But it was 6 o'clock, and everyone was gone for school had been out for hours. Being 6, Ivy didn't have a phone of her own and had no idea where to even start the long walk. It was pure luck that her dearest uncle Sherlock happened to walk by. "Ivy, what on earth are you doing here?" Sherlock exclaimed as he stared at the rather miserable little girl. "Don't tell me... Mycroft forgot you on your first day of school." Ivy looked about ready to bust into tears. Sherlock lifted up the his niece, and hailed a taxi. Once back at 221B Baker Street, Sherlock brought the crying child to his room. "Shhh darling." He murmered as he pulled out clothes that were ways stored for Ivy at the flat. He changed her into her coziest Pajama's and carried her out onto the couch. When Ivy woke hours later she heard screaming. "You left her alone, she was hurt and heartbroken. You forgot about your own child." She heard Uncle Sherlock shout. "I had work, and you know how important that is." Her father replied. "More important than your own child!?" The screaming continued, but Ivy couldn't take it anymore. She started to cry, and her father rushed in to settle her down. But she thrashed and kicked out of his grip. She wouldn't stop, until she felt a sting in her side and all her muscles fell limp.
