The Only One (James potter)

Chapter 10

Anna quickly finish up her test. It was the last paper she had and finally she could have some proper rest. Anna glanced towards James who was currently talking with a hufflepuff girl outside of the class. James is 'waiting' for her.

They looked like they're at bliss.

Anna groaned. She had to put up with this 'push and pull' game with James for 2 months now and she is getting sick of it. Who does James think she is. Anna knows James is flirting and snogging hoes all around her. Unless James wants to declare something soon Anna is going to flip.

"All right class. Quills down. I'll be collecting your papers now."

Anna turned her paper and put down her quill. She clearly does not want to see James flirting another girl. So she quickly stood up as soon as the class was dismissed and searched for Remus.
Shes going to use Remus as her shield.

Anna turend and saw Remus walking outside. Swiftly she hid behind Remus and succeeded going out pass James. Well James is too 'busy' to notice her.

Remus raised an eyebrow when he felt Anna tugging on his arms. Anna simply gave him a smile. "Thanks Remmy you saved me." She said as she quickly walked away.

Remus looked at running Anna in confusion. He felt James tapping on his shoulder. "Hey moony. Did you see Anna?" Remus turned. James had his left hand on the waist of some hufflepuff girl. Remus sighed.

"She left." He replied.

James's eyes widened. "Wait. She left? Without me? I waited for her." Remus glared at James. Then his eyes landed on the girl. "You know James, you're going to loose her again if you keep this up." He pointed towards James's hands on the girl's waist.

James raised an eyebrow. Remus sighed again before walking away.

Anna sat under the tree as she happily read her book. She saw Lily and Severus went to hogsmade. She asked them to buy some sweets for her when they got back.

"But I have never loved you." I said to him. Truthfully, I had always loved him ever since my eyes laid on him. He chuckled. "Well, glad to hear that. I am getting married by the way." He replied. I held back unecessary tears. Why cant he see?

Anna blinked. "What?" She read the words again. Flipping the book over and over. This was given to her by Lily. She turned towards the last page and saw a small writing.

Anna dear I do wish you would tell James the truth and how you felt. James is an idiot and he could not figure it by himself. Unless you want to loose him then be my guest.

Anna rolled her eyes. That damn Lily. She closed the book and let out a long sigh. But what Lily said is true. James is an idiot. He flirted with Anna, kiss her, held her hands. But Anna still didnt get asked out. Not to mention James is really active with his snogging around the school.

Even Sirius sometimes would tell him off. And thats one rare thing.

Anna took out a picture from her bag. She smiled. It was the picture when James, Remus and dog-Sirius was wrestling down the grass. She loved the picture. Anna ran her finger to James's laughing face.

"Maybe I should tell him."

"Tell who what?"

Anna jumped. She quickly hid the picture in her bag and looked up. It was James.

"Nothing." Anna replied. She could feel her heartbeat racing. James sat next to her. "I dont believe you." He said. Anna smiled. "You never did." She whispered. James looked at her before shrugging.

"So.. are you dating someone?" James asked. His hand playing with his messy hair. Making it more messier. Anna looked surprised. "Are you kidding?! No!" James chuckled. "Well you dont have to shout you know." He said softly as he took out a snitch.

Anna tried to calm down. She stared at the snitch. "Where did you get that?" James smirked. "Oh I have my ways on getting my hands on stuff."

Anna remained silent. And so does James. They both were somehow enjoying the peace. James suddenly cleared his throat. "So why did you ran away from me this morning?"

Anna bit her lips. "I didnt ran away. I avoided." She replied in a low voice. James glanced at her. "Yeah and the reason is?" He asked. Anna somehow felt like punching James. But James is an idiot boy after all and she felt guilty in doing something like that. She sighed. Its time.

But she really doesnt want to tell James just like this. She needs to make it special. She stared at James who was staring at her in anticipation. Anna's stomach swirled. She gulped.

"Uhh I'll tell you later." She said. James didnt take his eyes off Anna. "Youre blushing. What is it that you're thinking?" James asked again. Anna mentally slapped herself. Annoyed by James and all his stupid questions. Anna simply shook her head.

James sighed. "You know Anna, if you dont say things out loud I wouldnt know what you're thinking." He said as he continue to play with the snitch.

Anna flushed harder. She watched James let go of the snitch before catching it back swiftly. Anna had a sudden idea.

"Hey James.." She called out.

"Hmm."

"Can I have your snitch?" She asked. James catched the snitch that he just released and looked at the small golden ball. "You want this?" He asked. Confused. Anna smiled as she nodded eagerly. James shrugged and he gave it to Anna.

Anna beamed. She took the snitch and stared at it for an awfully long time as if the snitch would burst into some kind of a unicorn. Her eyes were full of hope and at the same time her cheeks were tinted pink.

James smiled. Anna is a one confusing girl. He could clearly see all kinds of emotion in Anna's face but he just couldn't figure out why. Slowly he tucked in a strand of hair behind her ears.

Anna statued.

James chuckled. "I cant see your face. Your hair is blocking it." He whispered as he softly caressed Anna's hot and red cheeks. James grinned as he saw Anna fidgeting nervously. Anna is so nervous with just a simple touch even though they had kissed so many times. Kiss that is and not snog.

"Umn yeah so uhh well I gotta go." Anna said her voice a tad bit shaky. James laughed. His hands rested on the back of Anna's neck. "Where to? Can I come?" He asked. Anna shook her head abrubtly. James laughed again. "Well okay then. Be careful." He said softly. Anna nodded as she slowly stood up and walked away.

Shes going to do this. She will. But well she needs a few helps though. She giggled as she keeps on walking. Feeling James staring behind her.
