Third person POV
Aph is still 9 and Garroth is still 11, they're both are still around the age of ten. Today Garroth wanted to take Aph to the park to play. But, neither of them knew that there is going to be promise made. A promise and a memory that is going to be useful in the future.
Garroth's POV
Today I wanted to take aphmau to the park today cause I wanted to play outside for change than just playing around the house and the treehouse. Then a thought came to my mind. Everytime go near her, my heart starts to beat fast. Everytime we touch I felt a little spark. And everytime she compliment or tease me, I blush like crazy. Do I like her? I just brush of the thought and proceed walking Aph's house.
I reach Aph's house and knock on the door to be greeted by her father. "Well hello there Garroth, what brings you here?" Said mr. <insert random name>. "I wanted to take Aphmau to the park to play" "She just left to go to rhe park, you better hurry up. And I trust you" He said with a smile. I just nod and left to the park. I wonder what's Aphmau doing right now in the park.
Aphmau's POV
I was bored so I wanted to go to the park. So I ask my dad "Dad, can I go to the park, I'm bored" "Sure sweetheart, just be back on time" " Okay, bye dad" I kiss him on the cheek. "Bye, Jess". And with that I left to the park.
At the park, I saw the swings!! YAY!! What? I'm never to old to play the swings. And the swings very get to old for me, hehe. I sat on the swings and start swinging. I can feel the breeze in my face as my hair flow in the wind. I felt so calm and peaceful inside. I was enjoying my time there, until a group girls came to me.
The group was lead by Azura. She and her "gang" is the popular kids at my school. And for some reason she likes to bully some girls at my school. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THAT! She walk over to me. "Give me that swing!!" She said. Wow...that's one rude way to ask something, I thought. "No, sorry I was here first. If you want to, there's another swing right there" I said while pointing at the other swing.
"NO! I want this one!" She screamed at me and push me off the swing. "Ow..., HEY! If you want something just ask politely. No need to be all harsh and rude about it. Geeessss" I said annoyed and walk away."WHAT.DID.YOU.SAID.ABOUT.ME?! HOW DARE YOU SAY TO ME LIKE THAT!?!? YO-YOU LITTLE....BRAT!!" She pinned me to a tree, her gang and her started to punch, kick and throw little rocks at me. I started to cry because I was getting bullied and the pain. I cried harder when I saw Garroth in the corner of my eyes. I can't let him see me like this.
Garroth's POV
I was making my way to the park. When I reach the park, I saw girl getting bullied by a gang of girls. The girl was crying and she cried harder when she saw me. I saw a glimse of her face and I reconized that voice. That's when it hit me. That girl is Aph, I have to help her!
I ran infront of Aph to block the way of the gang that was hurting Aphmau. "Go away Azura! Leave her alone. NOW!" I said. I felt anger in my vines to see Aph getting hurt. "FINE! Let's go girls. This is not the last time you will be seeing me" With that she walk away.
I turn around to see Aphmau still crying. I decided to confort her. I let her cry on my shoulder. I warp my arms around her to make her feel safe and I think it's working."Sshh, it's okay Aph. Everything is fine now. I'm here."
Aphmau's POV
"Sshh, it's okay Aph. Everything is fine now. I'm here" hearing those words make me feel warm inside. He really cares about me. I feel safe in his arms. I stop crying and sobbing and felt calmer now.
I rested my head on his shoulder. I saw a tint of red spread across his face I just smile. "Thank you, Garroth. For always being there for me." " No, problem, Aphmoo. I promise to always be there for you when you need me." I looked at him and held out my pinkie. "Promise?" "Promise".
I kiss his cheak, and he blush a maroon red. You can almost mistake him for a tomato. "Who's a red tomato? Garroth is!" I teased him. Then I thought he couldn't get any redder, he did! "Hey, Garroo? Wanna play pretend at the playground?" I ask him, completely forgetting about what just happend. "S-s-sure A-aph" He stutter. I just smile and shrug it off. I grab his hand and dragged him to the playground.
Garroth's POV (I'm switching too much)
Aph dragged me to the playground. I'm still blushing like crazy. The fact that Aph is holding my hand just made it worse! I can feel my face heating, or more like burning right now.
You have to calm down.
How am I supposed to do that!? She's holding my hand!
Just calm down, take a deep breathe. And I know you like her.
Okay... *takes deep breathes* and I don't like her that way.
Yes you do, you can't deny that fact.
N-no! I don't.
Yes, yes you do.
Just shup up will ya?!
No, I wont. You shup up!
Why am I having an argument with my own brain?

I stop my 'mini argument with my mind to find myself that Aph is waving her hand in front of my face. "Hello? Garroth? You there? Earth to Garroth, do you read me?" She said with a concern face while waving her hand in front of my face. " W-what? ,Oh Aph. Y-yeah I'm fine" "Are you sure?" "Y-yeah I'm fine. Really" "Okay, if you say so Garroth." I realized that were already at the playground. "So I'll be the princess you can be the knight!" Said Aph cheerfully with that bright smile. "Sure! M'lady Aphmau. What should I do now princess?" I said while bowing down to her 'majesty'. She giggled and told me my 'duties as a knight. We played till the sunsets. I walk Aph home then walk to mine. I had dinner and went to my room. I also continue my writing in my diary and went to bed. The last thing I thought before drifted off to sleep is I have a crush on my best friend. And with that I fell a sleep.
Third person POV
Garroth fell a sleep on the thought that he admited that fell in love with Aphmau. This was step one to a lovely relationship to the two best friends. But what will happen to the two in the future. Well, you just have to wait and see. May love come to their way.
