Blood. The street was reeking of blood. There was a trail of red, leading into the alley way a few feet ahead. I followed it, glaring. No doubt a disgusting vampire was up to this.

Not all vampires were terrible. Most of them drank the blood from animals. But there were few who didn't care, and killed humans just because they had the power to do so.

I turned the corner, and watched as a tall male sunk his sharp fangs into his victim, who was already dead. He had dark hair, which was messy and curling, from the humidity. He was pale, like the moon, and thinner than a pole. His clothes were dark, and ripped up, decorated with chains and studs, and he wore old worn out combat boots.

"Hey! What's wrong with you?" I shouted, and he stiffened.

Suddenly the body dropped to the ground with a sickening thud, and the vampire stood completely still, clenching his fists.

"You're a monster." I growled, clenching my teeth.

"Oh, am I?" He let out a breathy chuckle, and stood straight.

He took in a breath of air, tilting his head back slightly.

"You smell like dog. Werewolf?" He inquired quietly, his voice deep and smooth.

"Yea, so what? Got a problem?" I snapped.

"No. Not at all." He turned to face me, smirking.

He had striking blue eyes, the color of clear waterfalls rushing through mountains. So blue that the sky was jealous. The most deep, bright blue eyes I'd ever seen.

He had blood around his mouth, around his perfectly plump, baby pink lips. They looked softer than a baby's skin. His face was sculpted perfectly.

He placed his hand on his hip, and raised a perfectly arched eyebrow. "Well, if you don't mind, I'll be on my way now."

"Oh, I don't think so." I took a step towards him.

"Why not? I'm not causing you any trouble. Just having a late night meal." He furrowed his eyebrows, feigning confusion.

"Humans aren't meals." I take another step, and then lunge, throwing a punch.

I hit his left jaw, and he stumbled backwards. His hand flew up to rub his bruising skin, and he glared at me, spitting out blood.

"Trust me, he wasn't special." He promised.

"That's not likely. You're just a selfish monster!" I threw another punch, but he ducked down, dodging it, and swinging his leg against my legs, knocking me to the ground.

"That's not true. He was a criminal. I don't kill good people." He panted slightly.

Quickly, I pushed myself up, and tackled him to the ground. I grabbed his neck, and slammed his head into the ground. He hissed, and wrapped his hands around my throat as well, gripping tightly.

"I track criminals! And kill them when they're alone. People like murderers and rapists! They're no good to society, I'm doing this city- this world a favor!" He grumbled, his eyes drooping for a moment from the impact on his head.

"It doesn't matter! You're not a judge! You don't have the right to deal with them!" I hit his head again, gasping, and coughing.

"Who c-cares how they're dealt with? They are gotten rid of, and I get to feed! It's a win win!" He groaned, and turned his head, biting into my wrist.

I yanked my hands back, gripping my wrist as it bled. Then I was shoved to the ground, and he punched me hard.

"Why can't you just drink animal blood like everyone else?" I asked, coughing after tasting blood in my mouth.
