Everything was bleak. Everything was grey, and colorless, and lifeless. And wet. So wet. The relentless wind bullied the small girl as she tried to swim, lost in the ocean of people. No one noticed as she limped on, her eyes stained red.
I have to hurry home, the wife will be mad if she finds out.......! She looked to the side to see a man running home. boring. she glanced over to the side to see a woman in a store fussing over a dress that by all means was stunning. shallow. she saw another girl clearly annoying the group, repeatedly calling their names. rude. she looked around more, and the more she looked, the more she was filled with frustration. with pain. with hate.
why are they so preoccupied with themselves?! she hissed, her eyes turning a deep, sickly red. why don't they notice!? more people passed her, still innocent, still ignorant. why don't they care?!
tears stained the ground as the girl trembled. she began to wail like a lost child as people began to shove her around, stepping on her all ready broken body.
Her breathing quickened as she remembered how great it felt to feel nothing underneath her feet. She closed her eyes in pleasure as she remembered flying. She growled as she remembered why she was still here. why she was still among the very things that caused her to jump. why she couldn't jump again.
she sighed, looking around. she filleted with her hoodie, bored and annoyed no one noticed. silently, she slipped it off. people turned there heads, looking at the girl, that, all of a sudden, was important. She smirked and lifted her head, her eyes glowing with power.
Flapping her bandaged and metal wings, the girl took off into the sky she once was lost in.
