“Um...” I cannot think of anything else to say. My mom stares at me as if I am a complete criminal.

“Okay mom I’m kinda courting Ann.” I face the floor.

“I know.” I faced her.

“Wait what?”

“I know you’re courting Ann. And I’m okay with that. Ann is a sweet girl. But Zachary you have to wait until you both reach the right age.”

“Well if your okay, what’s with the explain this to me thing?”

“Oh that? I meant where did you get the money to rent the whole Santa Monica bay?” She raised an eyebrow.

“Oh about that.” I raised my voice. “Okay its Kyle’s money I borrowed it.”

“Where did Kyle get that kind of money?”

“Don’t tell him that I told you this. He’s been taking part time jobs.”

“What kind of part time jobs?”  Her face became serious.

“Okay here is goes. He’s a mascot at a fast food chain at the mall.”

“Why?” She sounds way more confused every time she asks another question.

“Well he just said he wants to earn money.”

“For what?”

“I don’t know. Maybe for emergencies?” I grinned.

“Renting a public bay for a girl is not an emergency!”

“Wait I thought your okay with this?”

“Zachary there’s a lot of ways to empress a girl besides that. You can just take her to a movie or something, something that won’t cost your entire college fund!”

“Okay I’m sorry mom we won’t do it again.”

“Of course you won’t and to make that sure, I’ll cut your daily allowance from $100 to $50 and you’re not allowed to meet up or even talk to Ann for two weeks.”

 “Oka—Wait what?”

“You heard me.”

“But---“

“No buts’ young man now give me your phone.”

“Yes ma’am.” I gave her my phone.

“Thank you for your cooperation. Now go to bed.” Then she closes the door.

I can’t believe I’m already 14 and she’s still treating me like a baby. This is so unacceptable. Well two weeks without Ann won’t kill me right?

The next day…

Ann’s POV

Today’s the day. I’m off to the set of Life as Ann. I’m going to meet my co-stars. Rachel Crow, Ciara Bravo &

Dylan Sprayberry. I’m so excited to see them again.

“Are you ready?” My mom asks then she grabs her keys.

“Yep.”

“Oh I’m so proud. My little princess has her own show!” She said then hugs me.

“Mom you told me that nine times already today!”

“Oh really? Sorry sweetheart I’m just very happy.” She smiled.

“I know mom just don’t overdo the excitement like you did with I Found You.”
