He took me back to the room and I slept in his bed without him, though his pleas to not let me sleep alone and cold were cute.

I woke up the next morning to an arm draped around my waist. I growled quietly and lifted his arm off of me and I got up. Can't even respect my wishes, I thought as I shook my head. I went downstairs to the kitchen, making myself some food. A little boy came out of nowhere and sat on the counter.

"Can you reach into that cupboard and grab me some fruit snacks?" He questioned and I nodded, reaching up and finding what he was looking for. I handed him a package and he smiled, disappearing again right in front of me.

"How do you do that?" I questioned, and he reappeared behind me, speaking.

"It's easy. You just need to be like me." He said, then grabbed my hand. I held onto his for a moment closing my eyes. This was one of the ways I was taught to study other creatures. I could read them like an open book, learning to become what they were if I really had the time and patience to learn. Because I wanted to, I sat there holding the little boy's hand for about ten minutes, as he stared at my face silently while I did.

I shifted my eyes to the green slitted ones my reoccurring dragon has, and shifted invisible for a few seconds.

"Woah!" He said, and I shifted back, knowing that this would come in handy.

"How did you do that?" He questioned and I smiled.

"I'm a crystal dragon, I can mimic others powers, but not all the time. That's why it only happened for like three seconds." I explained and he smiled, clapping his hands.

"You have to keep that a secret though," I whispered to him, and Aaron walked in.

"Keep what a secret?" He questioned when the little boy ran up to him, giving him a hug.

"Hi uncle Aaron!" He said, squeezing Aaron's leg. I laughed and Aaron looked at me surprised. Must still have my dragon eyes out. I closed my eyes and changed them back, reopening them.

"Now, what did she tell you?" Aaron questioned, then started tickling him. Damn, if that kid spills the beans....

"Uncle!! Stop it!" He laughed and turned invisible, running away from him. I laughed at them, and Aaron stood back up to his full height, smiling.

"What did you tell John's son?" He questioned and I smiled slyly.

"Wouldn't you like to know..." I said as I walked towards him. I then took off running down the hallway past him. He followed me and ended up right behind me in less than a second. He tackled me to the ground, flipping us as we fell so that I'd land on top of him.

I let out an *Ouf* when my body made contact with his and he smiled, looking up at me.

"Tell me." He said, starting to tickle me. I laughed, trying to grab his arms and get them off me.

"No! Stop! I'm not a child!" I yelled and laughed as he continued, rolling us over so he was on top and had more control over me.

"Tell me!" He exclaimed and I smiled, shifting into my dragon form and rolling out from under him. I looked at him with my green eyes and smiled, my teeth sharp to the point like fangs.

"Fine, don't tell me." He said, pouting. I shifted back and went over to him with a smile.

He grabbed hold of me swiftly and I squealed, him placing a kiss on my cheek.

"I only told him what I was, and showed him my eyes," I said, shifting my eyes back to the reoccurring crystal dragon eyes. I slitted them, then they unslitted, widening at his odd expression. He was staring intently at me, and I didn't know if I liked it or not.

He stood us up, holding me in his arms as he raised off the ground with his power.

"So, John's your cousin?" I questioned and he nodded as we started to walk down the hallway.

"What's your sister's name?" I questioned and he shrugged.

"Why are you asking?" He questioned and I shrugged.

"I'm curious to know more about you and your family, since I'll be apart of it someday." I said and he smiled, his eyes gleaming with joy.

"Andrea." He said and I almost dead stopped but tried not to show my nerves breaking down.

Andrea, where have I heard that name before.....
I started to panic when the realization dawned on me.

Holy freaking God, his father put a bounty out for shapeshifters and the bounty hunter had come to check up on Aaron. Andrea is the one looking for a pet and.....

I tripped and fell face first into the ground. I laid there still for a few seconds, trying to calm myself down.
Aaron looked surprised at my sudden fall, and I looked up at him for help.

I was terrified, but I tried not to show it.

"Why does gravity hate me?" I questioned and he laughed, grabbing my arm and helping me up.

"For an agile dragon, like yourself, you're such a clutz." He said and I blushed, keeping myself calm.

Thank FREAKING God I never told him what I really was. I needed to get out of here. I do not care if he is my one true love or my mate, I am done. This is a very valid reason to ever run away from my troubles. I will NOT be someone's pet. As soon as nightfall comes, I am out of here. I smiled at him and hooked my arm with his, leaning on him as we walked and chatted about life, as I came up with a plan of a quick escape for night time.
