Ben was visibly shaking as he stood next to Hannah in the elevator, holding the bag of groceries that seemed to get heavier and heavier as they went up. He could feel sweat going down his face and on to the floor where the drop seemed to shake the entire elevator. He was so nervous. Nervous to be in this small space with Hannah, nervous to be having Thanksgiving with his student/girlfriend's family, and nervous to let Cassie know how he really feels.

But he probably won't tell her today. Hell, he probably won't ever tell her, not until he knows how she feels about him. He doesn't want to scare her off. The poor girl doesn't know what love is.

The ding! of the elevator made him jump. With wobbly legs, he followed Hannah out into the hall and to the door. He could hear laughter and chattering behind it, which just added to his nerves. He hoped his arrival wouldn't be too noticeable.

"Look who I found on the street!" Hannah announced, as they walked in. Ben closed his eyes and sighed. So much for that. The whole family had turned to see who she was talking about, but only two out of the twenty people notice him. Rob...and Cassie.

She was staring at him with wide eyes. As a matter of fact, as soon as she saw him, she spit out her drink. "This is Ben Cumberbatch," Hannah introduced. "He's Cassie's English and theater teacher." The family went up to him and started saying how they recognized him when they went to go see Grease.

They told him how he did a great job and he humbly thanked all of them. "Cassie," Hannah called, "show Mr. Cumberbatch where he can put his jacket." Cassie nodded and walked up to him. She still looked a little shocked from all of this.

"Um...right this way, Mr. C.," she said. He followed her, while saying, "Thank you, Cassie." He figured they were going to her room, but they were heading into her parent's. He needed her alone and badly, but not in their room!

As soon as they passed her room, he gently grabbed her arm and pulled her back and into her room. He quietly shut the door, then quickly turned to her and kissed her before she could say anything. "I've missed you," he told her in between kisses. "God, I've missed you so much. I can't stay this long without you."

He kissed her once more, then pulled away to let her have a say. She ran her fingers through his hair, making him purr and put his face into her neck. "What are you doing here?" She whispered. He looked up at her and said, "I had to see you. Granted, I wasn't planning on spending Thanksgiving with you and your family, but here we are."

He cupped her face and kissed her again and again and again. He couldn't get enough. Her lips were his addiction and he couldn't get enough. She eventually had to push him away to catch her breath. "What has gotten into you?" She asked with a giggle.

He smiled and shook his head. "Just missed you," he told her. "I wish we didn't have to sneak around like this, that everyone could understand how we feel about each other and accept it." Cassie didn't know where all of this was coming from, but she felt her heart lift a little.

"Come on," she told him, "before they start to wonder where we are." He nodded and gave her one final smooch, before walking carefully out of her room. He put his jacket in her parent's room, then walked back out with her.

As soon as they entered, Rob approached him with a drink. "Here you go, Mr. C.," he said. Ben took the drink and said, "Thank you and please, call me Ben." Rob stole him away and brought him over to the bar with the rest of the guys, while Cassie was with her cousins.

"Your teacher is hot," one of them told her. Cassie laughed and told her, "I know. Everyone finds him attractive." A few moments later, Ben started glancing around until his eyes landed on hers. He gave her a soft smile and a wink, before turning back to Rob and her Uncles.
