Hybrid Hunting

Chapter 5
Carlos's POV

I ducked and used my sword to push Chad away.Combat was difficult..damn.We were trying out different techniques and stuff like that and it was boring..I knew this stuff already..

This whole thing was funny at the same time until Chad knocked me to the ground.
"Jeez,Wolf Boy,I thought you were better than that.."he grinned and everyone laughed.

I glared at him then I managed to stand up and hit Chad on the side so hard,he went flying and crashed.Everyone froze as Chad groaned and the coach gasped."You'll pay for that loser."Chad muttered and I rolled my eyes.Great.

Then,class ended and everyone solemnly went back to the classrooms again..oh come on,a little scene made everyone go silent.?Just as I walked outside and back to the classrooms,someone grabbed my arm and dragged me into a potions lab.My first though was,great,Chad was gonna throw a stupid potion at me and all.

But when the person stopped,I saw that it was just a girl."Uh..do I know you.?"I asked and she shook her head."Sorry,I was just watching you..I guess."she said shyly and I blinked.What the.?
"No way,you've been following me.?Okay,who the Nether are you.?"I asked and she smiled again.

"I'm Scarlet.A Skeleton Hybrid.I managed to sneak out just because I invented a one time use teleporter to get the heck out of The Kingdom Of Hybrids.But now I can't go back once I saw this preppy high school."Scarlet sighed and I must admit,she was kinda intimidating.

She had a quiver behind her and she held a bow in her hand.Grey hair and a skeleton hairband with grey eyes ( everything was grey and white ) and a white dress with a plaited skirt."How have you been watching me.?"I asked again and she shrugged.

"Hmm..I snuck out of gym class that's why."she smirked and I heard the bell ring again."Okay,so we just missed a lesson on..History and now,school's over and I gotta meet this girl.."I said and her grey eyes flashed a little."Okay.."she said and we crept out of the lab and out to the garden.

"There you are.!And..who is that.?"Eleanor asked warily and I introduced Scarlet to everyone except Jade who wasn't here yet.
"Okay..so..she's a Skeleton Hybrid.Wow.We've been meeting up with a lot of Hybrids."Opal said and suddenly,Jade ran up towards us and she was holding a book.

"Hey..I just realised that The Kingdom Of Minecraftia isn't really what it is..come to the library."She panted and we walked inside again."What do you mean.?If this isn't Minecraftia..what is it.?"Kat asked and Jazz patted Jade on the back."Okay okay..calm down.."she said and everyone silently made their was into the library.

"Okay,so I found this book and read page 135.."Jade said and I read;

"The Kingdom Of Minecraftia..is originally called..The Kingdom Of Hybrids.These hybrids were then chased out and locked away in another kingdom now known as The Kingdom Of Hybrids.Some Hybrids remain in The Kingdom Of Minecraftia hidden away in dungeons,caves,ravines and even underwater.Scared to discover the land above."

Everyone stood still and Eleanor seemed to be glaring at Scarlet who was beside me but Jazz sat down again and took out a piece of paper."So..that's why..I feel safe here..that explains it.It's that Hybrid magic in the air.Kept by thousands of years..we have to find the other hybrids.!"she muttered and the librarian shushed her.

"Yeah..but this book says that they could be in caves,dungeons,ravines and underwater.!How will we ever find them.?Besides.!We have to get the staff.!C'mon Eleanor and Kat..choose.!You're the leaders..!"Scarlet grinned and I edged away from her a little.
So far,I didn't like her that much.

"Stop,don't put any pressure on them.."Jade said coldly and I nodded."We have to get the other hybrids.We can't just take the staff with this little hybrids..we need as much magic as we can."Kat said and the rest of us nodded and everyone slowly went back to their dorms..

"Uh..Carlos.?"someone said and I turned around."Yeah.?"I said to Eleanor as she clutched her books."Just be careful around Scarlet..she looks..intimidating.."She said and I nodded.Then,she smiled and walked back to the dorms with the others.

11:46pm ( At Night )

I heard someone knocking at my window and I sat up."Who's there.?"I asked quietly and went towards the window.."Carlos.!Meet us at the garden.!We have to find the hybrids.!"Jazz said and I poked my head out."Seriously.?It's 11:50pm."I whispered and Jazz floated down."Now.!"she whispered back and I sighed.I hung out of the window and dropped,landing on my hands and feet.

"Opal has feather falling so she doesn't have to worry about breaking her bones or whatever but Kat managed to teleport and..Eleanor..flew down I guess..nice being a Herobrine Hybrid.Do whatever power you want."Jazz said and the others
( with Jade looking a
little bruised ) were already in the garden.

Everyone was here and Kat gestured to follow her into a little room with a huge map at one corner."Okay,Eleanor and I have rigged up this machine and Guess what.?We can find any hybrid with this map.!Eleanor.?Show them please."Kat said and Eleanor pulled a lever.

A Beacon shot light at Eleanor's Nether Star and the 4 points of the Star shot at the map.So four lights were on the map and everyone just gasped."How did you do that.?"Jazz asked and Eleanor high fived Kat.

"A little Redstone,some magic and a huge map."Kat said and I nodded.
"Cool.Now all we have to do is to find the closest hybrid not yet discovered..and that's in..whoa,the ocean.."Eleanor said and she kept the machine and everyone nodded."Okay then..to the ocean.!"Kat said and Scarlet scowled and we raced off towards the ocean..
