Chapter 6: The Fight

Ryder's POV

Damn. This John guy was good. He kept throwing punches. I have no time to punch myself, because he would punch me, right when I punched. I really wanted to win. I need the money.

John's POV

This kid sucks and why the hell did he ask who Rachel was? I mean she comes here every fight. I've even seen her beat the shit out of some guy, and she was half the size him.

*FLASHBACK*

"GO RACHEL!" I was yelling, because it was her first fight, AND SHE WAS WINNING. Don't get me wrong. That girl is awesome, but the guy is half the size of her. I did not think she would win. Oh, there goes a left cut, then right, then up the middle. Wow she's good.

"Rachel wins." Yes and lots of people lose there money, even me! I still don't believe it.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

I remember that day, like it was yesterday. It was when me and Rachel became friends. If only we could be more then just friends.

Back to Ryder's POV

Crap. I'm losing. For my plan to work, I need to win. Or I will be set back.

Rachel's POV

"GO JOHN!" I really want John to win. We have been friends sense, I beat the crap out of guy at my first fight. The one thing that I like about John, is that every Friday, he brings me Wendy's for lunch. Also, because I want to see the shit best out of Ryder. I'm so pissed at him. How could he turn my best friend against me. Like, what the fuck man. 

"John wins!" yelled the announcer.

John's POV

Yes I win, and that kid is just getting up. I want to go and kick him again, but I would lose the money. And I want to take Rachel some place special tomorrow. Tomorrow I'm planing on taking her out some place special, then ask her to be my girlfriend. I hope she says yes.

Ryder's POV

Damn. I was hoping I could pull though, but I just couldn't. Now I have to do more to make sure this plan works.

*The next day*

Rachel's POV

Ugh. The moring classes were so boring, but now I get to have lunch with John. YAY! When I was walking to the paking lot, I got a text from John.

To Rachel, Hey change of plans. Meet me at Wendy's. K? -John

I texted back ok, then drove to Wendy's. But, when I got there I couldn't find John. So I went back to my car and there he was dressed in a suit. I was wondering why, when he came up and asked something I would never have guessed he would say.

"Rachel... will you go out with me?"

"Ah... um..." Thats all I could say. I just... never thought he would say that. I mean he's one of my best friends, but his face says he means it. Then I looked back to him and his smile was fading.

"I get. You just want to stay friends." He started to walk away when, I said something I thought I would never say.

"John... Yes." He looked back at me with the biggest smile I've ever seen him have. He then ran up to me and hugged me. I was taken by surprise, but I then hugged him back. When we steped back, the people around as went in awe. I have never been happier in my life, but something just didn't feel right.
