He was annoyed. Jon grabbed a rock and flung it at a tree. He wasent annoyed at Georges death, he was annoyed that he had been so stupid to basically allow it. Jon climbed a pine tree, and sat on one of the branches. The sun was rising now. Jon sighed. "Oh well, I've got a lot to live for." he said to no-one. He thought about everyone in his old village. It had only been a week after the move, and Jon was already getting homesick over everybody in the village. Jon was leaving for his forth mission in three days. He thought about how he would bring home money to Mary, and take care of her. She had been having a difficult time moving because of her pregnancy. Jon dident regret it, he just wished he had waited until they had enough to take care of it. Now, they will. He stood on the branch. "All I have to do, is live." he said to the wind again. Jon climbed down. He walked the dirt path he came on. What were they going to name the baby? He dident even know if it was a boy or girl. He figured he'd mostly let Mary name it. Because, if Jon were to die, the baby would be all Mary had left of him. He pushed the thoughts out of his head. He dident care if he died, he just wanted Mary to be safe from this never-ending hell. Jon pulled the silver box out from the inside of his jacket. His fingers rubbed the top. "I'm going to avenge you, George. Have no fear on that." Jon said to it. He could almost envision George nodding his head in approval. Jon was almost at the gate's of the "tier two" village, as Mary and Jon called it. Jon tapped the stripes on his shoulder, warning the guard. He gave a thumbs up, and opened the gates. Jon walked in to another bustling crowd of people, busy for no peticular reason at all. It still amazed Jon of how many people there are. Jon felt uneasy walking through the crowd, everytime, because he could just envision another breakout, then boom, noones safe. Jon walked into a candy shop. "Hello." beemed the cashier. "Hey." Jon said in a relaxed tone. He walked to the wall of Candy's. He was looking for a chocolate covered wafer crisp, as the baker called them. The real name was Kit-Kats, before half the world turned mad. The door swung open madly. It slammed into the wall. "EDWARD!" a booming voice shouted. A tall, muscular man walked into the shop, and slammed the door shut behind him. "Oh God, hey, Jason, please, i-" the cashier begun. The man grabbed the cashier by the hair, and lifted him in the air. "I said... ONE MORE DAY!" Jason boomed. "I know, I was just-" began the cashier again. Jason grabbed him by the throat. "You honestly thought you could avoid me-" Jason shouted again. He was cut off by Jon body slamming him into the wall shelf opposite of him. Jason dropped the cashier. The cashiers eyes looked terrified. "Your so.... Stupid." the cashier said, gasping. Jason stared at Jon. He looks baffled at the size of Jon compared to him. Jason stood up, ran at Jon, and grabbed him by his jacket collar. He lifted Jon up. "A twig like you?" Jason boomed. "Don't underestimate me." Jon said. Jason threw him through the glass window, and let Jon tumble into the kitchen. "DONT WORRY, I WONT!!" Jason shouted. He picked Jon up again and threw him into the wall. His back slammed into it, and Jon began to slide down, when Jason picked him up by the throat, and held him against the wall. Jon gagged. "YOU READY TO DIE? NOONE SHOVES JASON AND LIVES!!" Jason shouted. Jon panically grabbed Jason's head with his left hand, and pushed his head back. "That all you got? Thats gonn-" Jason started. Jon punched him in the throat. He dropped Jon. Swiftly, he grabbed Jason's head, and finished bringing it down into the counter, it slammed against it, and Jason swatted away Jon. Jason placed his boot into Jon's stomach, as Jon tried to run at him again. Jason grabbed Jon by the neck and with all his strength, threw him out the window, and into the street. Jon rolled and layed in the street, watching Jason walk outside. Just as Jason was about to continue, another guard came, and restrained him. A couple of other guard's did as well. Jon stumbled to his feet. "You did good." nodded a guard with respect. Jon limped into the shop again. The cashier rubbed his throat, and stared at Jon. "Listen, I'm sorry about the Windows." Jon started. He fell back, and landed on the ground. The cashier helped him into a chair. "Don't worry about the Windows, are you okay?" he asked. Jon coughed. "Yeah, I'm fine." Jon said. "Not many people take on Jason and live." He said. "Yeah, well I woulda won, if I weren't still healing." Jon said. He rubbed his ribs. Thankfully they dident get hurt in the fight, besides when Jon tumbled in the kitchen, but he was okay. He giggled. "My girlfriends gonna kill me though." Jon said. The cashier laughed. "What is it you were looking for again?" He asked. "Oh, I originally came in here looking for kit Kats." Jon said. The cashier snapped his fingers, and hurried into the kitchen. Jon closed his eyes a bit. Mary would question how Jon got hurt, most defiantly. She had been baking all day, she would probably be tired. Jon wanted to get the candy as a surprise to her. He heard the door open, but dident look up. "What.... Happened?" he heard a man ask. Jon rolled his head over. He couldent open his eyes. "Are you okay? What Happened?" the man was touching Jon's face. Jon let his eyelids open. The man sitting in front of him had red hair, and a red heard. His facial features were attractive for a guy. The cashier came out, and handed Jon the candy. "On the house." He said. "No, no, I can-" Jon began. The cashier put his hand on Jon's shoulder. Jon stopped reaching for his wallet. "How are you Edward?" said the man with red hair. "Not too bad, how are you David? Last I heard, you were in a pizza shop." the cashier said. Jon's eyes shot open. "David?" Jon asked. The man stared at him. "Are you-Jon? I thought you were dead..." David said. Jon stood up. He punched David. "Why-?" David asked. "I almost died. I thought it was for nothing for so long" Jon said. David hugged Jon. "Its good to see you still breathing." Jon said. David slapped his shoulder. "Warriors path?" David's eyebrow raised. "Rank three. I had almost no choice." Jon said to him. He almost fell over. David caught him. "I'm walking you home." David said. Jon opened his mouth to object, but he realized, he wouldent be able to make it alone. Jon nodded. David put his arm around Jon's shoulder for support. They began walking out of the store. "Come again." the cashier waved.
After a long silence, David asked: "How you holding up?" Jon lifted his head. "Well, I think I need to stop almost dying." Jon said. David laughed. "Me too." He said. "This is the place?" David asked. "Yeah.." Jon said. "Come in, we'll make you something to eat." Jon said. David nodded. They approched the door. David knocked. Jon heard something being set down, and hear footsteps walk to the door, mary opened it. "Hello- Oh my gosh, Jon!" Mary cried out. David helped Jon inside. He was set down in a chair. Mary got a wet cloth, and was wiping dirt and blood from his forehead. "Glass? What Happened?" Mary asked. She looked at David. David explained everything he knew about the fight, and who Jason was, and why he was so strong. "Mary, this is David. He needs to eat. I invited him to dinner." Jon said in a tired voice. "Wait the David who you met? Is he the one who broke your ribs?" Mary started stepping towards David with the knife from cooking. "No, no, that was Jack." Jon said. Mary calmed down, and sat next to Jon. She made David get the first aid kit from the counter, and she began picking the glass out with tweezers. "So, you took on one of the deadliest criminals of our village?" Mary asked. "I guess, I dident know he was, I was fighting back for the cashier, when he was choked." Jon said. Jon pulled the candy out. "I bought you candy. Suprise." Jon said. Mary giggled, and shook her head. "What am I going to do with you?" she asked Jon. "No idea." Jon replied with a smile. Jon closed his eyes, he let the world go black. He was tired anyways. David was back, and Jon felt like he had achieved something today.
