"Mommy!"
"Daddy?"
When I opened my eyes, there was grass around me. Mommy? Daddy? Where are you? I hugged my teddy bear so tight because I was so scared. The place was so dark I was frightened creepy monsters would attack me.
I need my Mommy right now. I need her to tell me everything's going to be alright.. like what she always says. I want Daddy's hugs that are like Olaf's hugs too. I need them right now.
I want to get home now. I don't wanna miss out on any of the yummy food mom makes me, like my like my super favorite pancakes my mom makes me for breakfast. That's the first thing I look for whenever I wake up. Her yummy ham and cheese sandwich is also one of my favs.
I tried to look for Mommy and Daddy. But but.. I can't see them. I started crying because I was starting to panic since all I could see was the color black except for the stars that was shining in the sky. But still.. I was scared.
I hugged my teddy bear even tighter.
"Teddy we can do this. Let's just walk to see if Mommy and Daddy are here," I whispered to my teddy bear.
Then I started seeing bright lights. I ran up to it because the place seemed fun. When I was in front of it already, I found out it was a theme park. Woah! I see roller coasters, ferris wheels, and rides. The place was so colourful it reminded me of Super Silly Fun land from Despicable! All I could imagine was rainbows and unicorns.. I ran so fast to it because I was too excited.
I see a gate to a place called Dreamania I don't know anything about it but it looks fun. Suddenly a stranger came up to me
"Hi sweetie, Welcome to Dreamania! This place is located in Manila, a happy place that is full of wonderful people. Sad to say, my dear, but you can't get out of this place unless you-"
Blah Blah Blah. I was distracted with the rides I was seeing so I didn't listen to her.
"I want to ride that one!" I point out to the big roller coaster.
"Oh, darling, I'm so sorry but you're still too small for that ride," she explained.
"Aww. Then how am I supposed to have fun?" I felt sad.
Suddenly an old grandma wearing a blue pastel colored t-shirt, and large spectacles - kind of like the ones worn by the grandpa in Up, passed by me.
"Would you mind if I excuse this sweetheart for a short talk?" the grandma says with her rusty voice.
"Sure! No problem. Ehh just make sure you come back to me again. Anytime! Oh and by the way, what's your name again?"
"Alice," I replied with my teary eyes.
"Stop crying, sweetie. There are so much more rides you can take. See you around!"
The old lady held my hand. It reminded my of grandma's - cold, soft, and, wrinkly. It was so hot so she decided me to buy me a milkshake. It was good I finished it in one gulp. We were taking a walk and it made me realize how magical the place was. I was going to ask if I was allowed to ride in any of the roller coasters but she interrupted me.
"Alice?" the old lady asks with her rusty voice.
"Uh- huh?" She wipes my mouth with tissue.
"Do you have any idea why you are here?" the old lady asks.
"Nope. I was looking around the place to look for my mommy and daddy.. Then I saw this! I thought it was magical so I went inside," I raise my eyebrow hoping she has an answer, "Do you know why?"
"Umm, yes. I do, Alice.." her soft rusty voice answers, "I don't know if you realize but for sure you don't, right now you are actually dreaming.
"Huh?" I'm confused.
"You are having a good night sleep right now. Just a few days ago you had a very severe headache, after finding out you have brain damage. Now, it is up to you whether to stay here forever and to explore the place of Manila by taking the 'Happily Ever After Ride' or go back to reality and see your parents by taking the 'Back to Reality Ride'," the old lady explained.
She grabs held my hand tightly and leaned towards me.
"Sweetheart, you only have 3 days to think about this so think wisely, Alice."
"Okay.." I didn't know what was happening.
