Zayn's P.O.V

I can't believe my eyes right now, the girl that i identify as my best friend has a tail. She's a mermaid... Jesus fucking Christ a mermaid? I'm not going crazy am i ? When we were younger we used to go to the beach together, yes i never went swimming or shit like that but we used to ran in the salted water and get out really quick and if she did has a tail back then i'd knew it already. But that's news for me. I'm not trying to be selfish or anything by not wanting to get close to her but i also can't get my head around the whole idea that Naya, my Naya has a tail. On the other hand, she looks so freaking beautiful, it's like she's wearing water proof make up but that's not true! She's always been a pretty girl. It's dark out here but her golden tail shines so bright that you'd think there's a light ball in the water and it almost seems like magic. But then again, it's nothing more or less then magic, i wonder if she has powers like the mermaid from the books or the movies. As soon as i thought of that, i started backing away from her, mermaid are not good creatures, these womans kill sailors for pleasure by singing to them that weird ass siren. Oh no! Naya's one of them...
"Zayn? Zayn!! God damn it why are you running away from me?" Somehow, her voice seems to be so far away, and the thing is she's far away from because i started running away before i could even realise it.
"Zainie, please come back, we need to talk!" Do we ? Actually we do but i can't go back there, what if she hurts me or something? Oh heck no! I'm a man, i'm going back but just not too close. Once i'm close by where she is i hear her swears in spanish, i've always wanted to hear her say "coño" again.
"Zayn i'm gonna hurt you for god sakes, i just saved you life, so please help me get back up" Uh ?! Yeah , that's true! She did just saved me minutes ago. I grab both hands and try pulling her out of the water, but fucking shit that girl may not look heavy but she is as fuck.
"No i'm not that heavy, it's the tail zainie!" She said. Oh i might have spoken my thoughts at loud.
"Sorry!" I quickly apologize and she smiles. As soon as she's out, she uses her hands to dry herself by literally using magic. Within seconds, she's back to normal with legs.
"Woww! Mind telling me what that was?" I ask her politely. I'm nosy and i need answers now.
"Uhm, i don't think we have enough time but yeah you know the obvious and now you have to promise me that you're not gonna tell your What makes you beautiful crew or anyone for that matter!" She demands with a serious face.
"I don't know Naya... That's a lot to take in in just one night. " i say honestly... If i'm being honest to myself i know i can trust her but it doesn't change the fact that i'm a bit scared of her right, i mean the girl has a tail as soon as she touches water for god sakes! '' I'm so sorry that you found out like this Zainie! I... I just couldn't let you die just to keep my secret, i swear i was going to tell you, just not now. I didn't want you to look at me the way you're looking at me right now.'' Oh well, now i'm feeling bad for her, shit ! Something's buzzing... Oh yeah that's my phone, what a miracle i thought it'd be unfunctionnal since it was in the water. '' Euhm, yeah'' Of course it's Liam, telling me again that we need to leave, and the if i'm not back in 10 minutes top they'll leave without me. Jerks! '' Naya, i need to... I mean we need to leave now!'' Even if i just find out that she has a tail i'm not gonna leave her here alone nor stay here with her, next thing you know Poseidon decides to also show his face to me tonight. She nods and i help her getting up and we get on our way to the boys.

Naya's P.O.V The walk to zayn's car is so silent and awkward. I understand why, i wish i could've told him when we were still kids when i found out about it. It would've been better, now i'm walking nest to him and i don't know how to break the silence between us. I need to tell him everything, but just not tonight. The look on his face when he saw my tail scared me so much, i knew he wasn't gonna to freak out like most people would. That's why i was on shock when he started running away from me as soon as i got him out of the water. As soon as we see the car, he stops me... ''Look at me Naya, i promise not to tell anybody. But Babe i need answers, i saw something that most people around this planet think is the impossible. I'm sorry that i ran away earlier, but i just couldn't stay in front of you like that, the you with a tail freaks me out. I really don't know what to think about that whole sea mythical creature thing. I wish i could tell you that everything'S fine with me but right now i'm so confused, i still can't believe what i saw just a few minutes ago.'' He does look confused and i really appreciate his honesty towards me. '' I totally understand you, Zayn, and i'm really sorry that you had to find out things that way, i didn't think this through i did i would not have come here tonight. I should have take the time to think about you and your friends going to the beach ... and with you who can't swim and...'' I seriously don't have enough words to explain to him what i'm thinking right now. '' are you saying that you weren't going to tell me about it ? '' No, no, no, that's not what i'm trying to say at all. '' No, not at all Zayn! Trust me, i was going to tell you but just not like this.'' That the trust. '' sorry,,, but...'' '' Zayn, mate we really have to go NOW!'' Niall say. '' Well you heard him, i have to go but we'll talk later tonight or tomorrow.'' he says and quickly walks away. '' Yeah sure'' I say to myself and start walking in the direction of my house.
