Let me start this story by answering your question...Yes.this is a love story,if you know me in real life you know I hate love stories,but let's say I got inspired.Also excuse any grammar mistakes I'm not even close to being english.
It all started 12 years ago,Elizabeth Smith and her 10 year old son,Jake moved to L.A. , leaving her abusive husband,Mike behind, in N.Y..They were ready to start fresh..they unpacked all their stuff,and already made some friends...their next door neighbours,Alice Mitchels and her mom,Linda.Alice's father died when she was 7..and now,she's as old as Jake..
Alice:Wow..so you live with your mom only,you're ten..and now we're neighbours..that's odd.
Jake:How so?
Alice:Well..I don't know..it's kind of a coincidence...like if we were meant to be friends..
Jake:That's cool.
They seemed to get along well,and so were their moms...they were both metalheads,and liked the same bands..Metallica,AC/DC,Nirvana,The Beatles,Slash and much more..Before they even knew they were best friends,and so were their kids.That same day,the two kids took a picture,as a "The day we became friends" photo,they still have it to this day.

Alice:I always smile when I see this picture
Jake:I know right?We were so young...and you were so cute..well,you still are..
Alice:Oh,stop it.
She pushes him in his bed and starts beating him with a pillow.He started to "fight" too.
Alice:It's been twelve years and we're still best friends.
Jake isn't that happy and playfull anymore.
Jake:Yeah..friends..
Alice:What's wrong?
Jake:Nothing..just your T-shirt reminded me of mom..she used to love Nirvana..
Alice hugs him
Alice:I know...and you know I'm sorry..and I'm here for you if you need anyone..you can count on me
Jake's mom passed away last year,after 2 years of fighting breast cancer..it affected him,but it would've affected him even worse if he didn't have Alice on his side..she was always there for him,and he was always there for her.And if you haven't figured it out yet..Alice and Jake are metalheads too,well..you know what they say.."Like mother, like son"..and daughter..in our case.
Alice:Aren't you excited for our graduation?
Jake:Of course I am..and I'm glad we both took the same college.
Alice:We were best friends for ten years,it was pretty obvious we'll have a lot in common,in this case acting,wich led us here..I hope that one day we'll both be actors...in a movie..or even at the theather...I don't care as long as we're both there.
Jake:That'd be so cool...now,we should get going...we don't wanna be late for our graduation.
Alice:Of course not.
They arrived to their graduation just in time.There,Alice’s mom was waiting,and she had her camera ready
Alice:How about we take another picture..just like the one 12 years ago,as a celebration to our friendship that survived.
Jake:Ahem-Yeah..great idea!You know,we’re still best friends,and you know,that dind’t change and stuff…take that picture miss Mitchels..
Linda:How many times do I have to tell you to call me Linda..Miss Mitchels makes me feel old..
Jake:Oh sorry.
Just as they took the photo the President of their college called Jake to get his diploma..as he left Linda hugged Alice
Linda:What happened to him?
Alice:Well,we were talking and stuff,then he saw my tshirt and said he reminded him of his mom,but I’m sure that’s not the real reason..
Linda:But what could be the real reason?
Alice:How should I know?!
The President:”Alice Mitchels..come take your diploma”
Alice:Gotta go..
The whole ceremony is done and Alice went with Jake back to his place.
Once there,they both seem to be nervous about something..almost at the same time they both say “I’ve got to tell you something”
Alice:You say it first..
Jake:No,you say it first.
Alice:Ok…I’ve had a crush,on someone,for a very long time and I decided I should tell him..
Jake:Me too..
Alice:Seriously who is it?
Jake:Well..you say it first!
Alice:Ok..it’s Zack..you know,Jenna’s brother.
Jake suddenly turns very sad,it’s obvious the whole weight of the world fell on him
Alice:Now..who’s your crush
Jake:Oh..mine…Mandy..Jenna’s bestfriend.
Alice:Seriously?She’s cute..Well..goodluck with her.
Jake:Well,goodluck too,even tough you won’t need it.
Alice:What do you mean by “won’t need it”?
Jake:Well,you’re beautiful,fun,smart,and an amazing person..only an idiot would reject you
Alice hugs him and then proccedes to leave.
Jake:Where are you going?
Alice:To meet up with Zack,I decided I should tell him.
Jake:Yeah,good idea..well..goodluck..i guess..
Alice:Okay,bye,talk to you later.
Jake:Yeah ..sure…later..
She leaves his house.
Jake:LATER WHEN YOU’LL ALREADY BE GONE..
He sits down on the floor,and one thousand toughts go trough his head..
“Why him?” “Why me?” “Why didn’t I tell her the truth?” “Well,she wouldn’t have wanted me anyways” “Dad,mom,and now this..what else could go wrong.” “Maybe I should kill myself..”
But all of the sudden he’s “woken up” from his toughts by the sound of his cellphone ringing.
Jake:Who the hell could it be..it better not be *he looks at his phone* Alice..great.
He picks up the phone
Jake:Yes?
Alice:Hi Jake,I called to let you know that everything went fine,turns out he likes me too..it’s all thanks to you..
Jake:Yay..I..I’m happy about you guys,so happy I..
Alice:Anyways…wanna come over for dinner today?Mom makes spaghetti..
Jakes:Yes…sure
Alice:Zack will be there too,he can’t wait to meet you.
Jake:Yeah..neither can I..well,see you at 7?
Alice:Perfect..see you then.Bye.
Jake wants to throw his phone,but remembering it’s pretty expensive he puts it down and throws a book across the room,it accidentaly hit the lamp and broke it..but he didn’t care..all he wanted was for all of this to be over.
