"Well?" Alex asked.
"Alex..." Tobin didn't want to answer.
"Oh for Gods sakes Tobin just tell me if you loved me!" Alex yelled.
"Damn Alex of course I loved you! I still do! You just never really cared!" Tobin yells, and turn away from her.
"..you did?" Alex asked in a hushed voice.
Tobin didn't answer.
All was quiet, and Tobin turned back to face her.
"Why didn't you tell me before? You left me just so confused" Tobin asks her.
"Tobin, there were so many moments where I was so close to telling you and I just couldn't. I wanted to. I really did. But I had to be sure you loved me back. I didn't want to ruin our friendship" Alex was almost crying.
"Well. Now you know I love you. Are you happy?" Tobin said. She too was almost crying.
"Not yet" Alex said, then pressed her lips up against Tobin's. Then she smiled at a stunned Tobin. "Now I am"
Alex walked back into the lunch hall, and sat down next to Moe, Julie, and Sydney.
Tobin took a few seconds to soak things in.
Why didn't Alex tell me? She knew I liked her.
Tobin shook her head and got a spot next to Christen.
"Everything okay?" Asked Christen, worried.
Tobin nodded.
Christen wasn't convinced.
"Tobin, you can talk to me you know" Christen told her.
Tobin didn't want to tell her Alex was slowly seeping back into her life. Christen had filled that gap where Alex had once been, but now it was too much. Two people fitting into one space in Tobin's heart hurt her.
"I'm fine" Tobin smiled at her.
Why can't I just tell her what's going on? I can trust Christen. Tobin thought to herself. Will I ever be able to tell her?
Hey it's Kennedy again. So I was thinking about writing a book with a guy in it. Have any ideas? Could be a famous guy or a made up one. Don't be afraid to ask! Thanks!
