I grabbed my backpack from his long slender hands and also for a little emphasis for him being here, I snatched the keys out of his hand harshly. Without caring what his sparkling blue eyes are looking like right now.Rule Number 1: Never get lost in a man's eyes.
Rule Number 2: You never give any clue to a guy that you're interested or else you'll be left heartbroken.
Rule Number 3: Just never like men/boys.Yeah, you can call me crazy or stupid or whatever you wanna call me right now but you'll understand why I don't like men or guys sooner or later. Okay for now, forget about rules and everything, let's just get to school for now.
I slid my backpack onto my shoulders and twisted the doorknob and came face to face with a beautiful view of my jacked up neighborhood. Nice... Very nice... First thing to also ruin my day. I scrunched my nose up in disgust. It sucks smelling air that stinks like manure of a cow, first thing in the morning.
Would you like a sample, my friend?
Yeah, that's what I thought.
You know sometimes I always feel the need to clean this neighborhood, with it's potato chip wrappers everywhere and the tumbling weeds that get blown away by the wind. The humid air around you making you feel sticky and gross. That's the definition of my neighborhood. Not many people live here. Sometimes it just feels like I'm living in a ghost town.
I swiveled around and turned my unwanted attention to my neighbor's house. Nobody's ever home, everyone's always either at work or at school. I always thought this neighborhood, this city, this different state would be welcoming. But I was wrong. Nobody says hi, nobody comes over, nobody brings a batch of cookies over to welcome us.They're just workaholics, never having time to waste, never having a few seconds to think about who they are. What they were meant to be.
