I Know It's Shocking

He looked at me with a shocked expression and wide eyes.
"Really. I am proud to call you my mate ."
I looked at him and I wouldn't help but ask.
"I have a question for you and I need you to answer truthfully okay. Am I your first mate?"
He looked at me as if I had grown two heads.
"Yes."
I couldn't help myself I fell to the ground and burst into tears.
"What's wrong my love?"
I couldn't look him in the eye I stayed on the ground and looked everywhere but at them.
"Your my second chance mate, and if you see scars on me my father is the one who put them there."
He looked furious when I looked up at him. It scared me so I flinched and I backed up away from him. As soon as he saw me move away his face softened and he came and sat beside me and pulled me onto his lap.
"I don't care if I'm your second chance mate. Your father will never lay a hand on you again or he will pay."
All I could do was nod and relax into his arms. He held me in his arms for a little bit with his face in the nape of my neck breathing in my scent.
He finally asked me a question I had been waiting to hear.
"Sweetheart can I see your wolf? If you don't want to show her to me then it's fine I just am wondering what she looks like."
"Of course you can see my wolf but so you know it's very shocking."
