Jordan sits on the park bench with his hands in his sweatshirt's pockets. He breathed in and out. The boy looked around the park, moms pushing their kids on the swings, children running around playing tag, and some emo teens with sketch books sitting under a tall tree. He smiled, remembering that phase. ((Me: gets ready to be attacked.))
Soon, Jordan saw the tall boy wave to him. He smiled and stood up to greet Will. They hugged, the beautiful smell of Will's cologne filling Jordan's senses once again. "You smell good," Jordan laughed pulling away from the hug.
Will laughed too, "Thank you, Mr Jordan." Now they just stood there in an awkward silence. Will rolled his eyes and grasped Jordan's wrist. "C'mon!" Will ran to the swing set and sat down on one. Jordan sat next to him. Will kicked his feet, swinging at a back and forth rhythm. Jordan watched him enjoying himself, and he was enjoying Will's presence.
"Doesn't it suck," Jordan says, "I mean, living with your parents?"
"Hell yeah," he smiled. It was a smile like a pitiful smile, but it also wasn't mean to be pitiful. "I hate them. Always on my case about everything. Even today," Will jumped off the swing and landed on his feet, "They asked me like 'Where are you going?' and 'Who's gonna be there?'"
Jordan gave him a half smile, this meaning pity, "That sucks." Will laughed and stuffed his hands in his pockets.
"Used to it. It's whatever." There was a silence, but it wasn't an awkward one. The air was settled, the fall weather soothing in. Then Jordan stood up to meet with Will's hight. He scratched the back of his head awkwardly.
"Uh, do you want to like, come over to my house? Like, we can watch movies and stuff."
"Netflix and chill?"
The older boy's cheeks became red, "N-no! What the fuck? I'll just take that as a no then," he shrugged dramatically.
"Aw," Will frowned, "I was hoping you would ask me over, guess my chance is gone." Will mocked Jordan's obnoxious shrugging.
Jordan quickly runs to Will and wraps his arms around his neck, "No! Please I'm lonely."
"Fine, just for you my sweet prince," Will rolls his eyes, followed by a smile.
