He didn't care for this body.

It's functions were limited, resources unsatisfactory, senses primitive to the extreme. Gone was his superiour strength, his unparallelled vision, his powerful sense of smell. It was as if he had been wrapped in cotton wool, muffling everything to a dull hum rather than the roaring clarity he was used to. It's resistance to the elements was pitiful. Already, it had begun to grow numb from the cold. He shifted his postition on the stone parapet where he was crouched and gazed down at the street below, his lip curling in faint disdain.

Humans.

Such simple, expendable lifeforms.

What were they good for? What purpose did their existance fulfill? They wreaked havoc upon their world and their fellow man, consuming all they could while leaving a trail of carnage and waste in their wake. The very sight of them disgusted him.

But no more.

This planet of theirs, this mass of earth and water they called home fascinated him like nothing else. The never ending streams of lifeforms to be consumed, a mere world away was just too tempting to resist. To possess it and it's endless supply of resources was his unrivalled obsession. It called to him constantly, never leaving him even for a moment.

And finally the time had come. He smiled to himself, the action feeling stiff and unnatural in his new body, his control over its muscles stiil limited. Soon, he told himself surveying the city below him.

Soon it will be mine.
