Gabe's office had originally belonged to his father and was exactly what you would expect a renowned, wealthly  paeliantologist's workspace to look like. It was cluttered and slightly old-fashioned, with charts of different excavation sights lining the walls, bookshelves full of large, dusty volumes relating to the subject and here and there, bone specimens recovered from the late Dr. Cole's various expeditions were scattered haphazerdly all over the colossal oak desk. Gabe himself was now sitting in a comfortable-looking leather office chair behind it, reading some sort of manuscript. He didn't look up as Ro and Si walked in.

"Did you take care of it?"

Ro supressed a sigh. That was Gabe for you. Nice and chatty.

"Yes."

"Good."

There was a period of cold silence as Gabe continued to read, the only noise being the faint dripping of rainwater running off Ro and Si's saturated clothing.  It was hard to believe that it was May and not November with weather like that, but that was Ireland for you.

Finally, Gabe put down his bundle of pages and stood up. He was slightly too thin for his frame, and lanky, with golden brown hair and a somewhat baby face that made him look far younger than twenty two. However, Gabriel Cole was about as cuddly and soft as an icicle and just as cold. Ro had never met a more ruthless or unyeilding person. But still, he had recued her when she needed it the most and for that she would always be grateful. As were they all.

"Where are the twins?" Ro asked tentitively.

At this, Gabe's expression darkened alarmingly.  "Late," he said curtly. Ro and Si winced. Above anything else, Gabe despised being kept waiting.

Just then the door burst open. Leslie strolled in, as cheery and unconcerned as ever, followed closely by a very sleepy-looking Luke. The two of them looked exactly alike, both had the same thick, blonde curls, china-doll complexion and big, blue eyes, as well as a being the same height to the last inch. The similarity was heightened by the fact that recently, Leslie had cut up her hair to match her brother's, much to Ro's horror.

Gabe glared at them over the top of his wirerims. "I told you both to be here a half an hour ago."

Leslie grinned. Out of the four of them, she was the only one who seemed completely comfortable around Gabe. Ro suspected that it was because she was the only one of them whose mind was completely unreadable to him, just as his mood was unreadable to her in some bizzar cancelling effect.

Gabe was the most powerful of them all. He could reach inside your mind, read it, change it, twist it, make you do, say and think whatever he wanted you to. He also had a disturbingly fluid grasp of telekinisis, which meant that they all felt inclined to duck whenever he got angry. In short, none of them had a chance against Gabe, and feared him almost as much as they respected him.

"Chill out Gabe. We had to go check the perimeter, like you told us to and it took us a bit longer than expected. No big deal."

The twins were strong in their own way though. A reckless, careless and often temperamental force of nature, Leslie could sense emotion, both from people and objects.  She could also change modify and shift a person's mood. The person she had to do this the most with, oddly enough, was her brother.

Normally, Luke was so placid and easy-going that  when she first arrived almost a year ago, Ro had wrongly assumed he was dosing himself rather liberally with some form of narcotic. But once he got angry.....that was it. He went berzerk. This was as dangerous for them as it was for their enemies because once Luke "hulked out", as Leslie put it, everyone was fair game no matter what side they were on. Leslie was the only one who could calm him down.
