Chapter 5: My Vampire Neighbor

"My name is Alex and I'm your neighbor."

"Soooo why are you here?"

"I came to kill you." I scrunched my eyebrows.

"Why?"

"Well I'm a vampire and you're a werewolf. Do I need any other explanation?" My eyes went like 0.0.

"Why can't we just get along?"

"I don't know. I'm just following the non existent rule that vampires and werewolves must hate and kill each other."

"So that means you're still going to kill me?"

"Yep." I stared at her and she stared at me.

"I don't believe that you are a vampire." She smiled and showed me her very sharp canine teeth.

"Vampires are real?!" She gave me a =_= look.

"A werewolf that doesn't believe in vampires. What has the world come to? Actually never mind. Just stop talking and die." She then lunged at me with very sharp claws which I had barely dodged.

"Can't we just get along?! I haven't done anything to you!" She jumps for me and I duck. She ended up crashing into the wall.

"You did do something to me. You were born." She then picked up a chair and threw it at me.

"Can't we make a deal?" She paused.

"What kind of deal?"

"I don't know. Anything I guess?" She smirked and i automatically regretted saying those words. What will she make me do? Be her slave for eternity? Give her my blood? Kill a puppy? As I began to think more horrible thoughts her response shocked me.

"I'll spare you if you take care of my dog every day."

"....Take care of your dog?" She started examining her nails.

"Yeah. He is a pain in the butt. I only keep him for looks. In order to blend in the human population I have to act like one. Besides I have better things to do besides taking care of some stupid mutt."

"...Okay I guess."

"Well I'm bored and I'm going back home. If I were you, I advise you to fix your ghost problem. You know you have been hallucinating for a while right?"

"I have?"

"Yeah. That ghost have been putting you and your sister in  hallucinations for like 5 hours. It's one of her powers. I advise you to either move out or buy a charm to prevent her from using her power on you. Until then you can borrow this." She handed me a wooden charm on a chain.

"Wear this and don't take it off. I'll be seeing tomorrow so cya later." She waved and walked out my door chewing on a new piece of gum. That's when I noticed Adrianne sitting on the couch looking at me.

"What happened? And who was that girl? Actually nvm I don't want to know. I'm tired and I want to go home and sleep and I'm going to pretended this night never happened." She picked up her purse and walked out the door.

'Huh. That was weird.'

'Yeah it was. Wait, where have you been the whole time?!'
I felt raze mentally roll his eyes.

'When you hallucinate you're basically asleep and I can't talk to you while you're asleep. Idiot.'

'Oh. You know I wonder where the girl went.'

I went in the kitchen to get some water when I notice the girl standing in the corner. She stood frozen in place staring at me. If it wasn't for her breathing I would've thought she was a statue. She looked like she was eating food out my fridge. Then she glared at me.

"What do you want peasant?"

"Peasant? And what are you doing in my kitchen? Wait a minute, didn't you try to kill me?!"

"I didn't try. It was just a hallucination. If I really wanted to kill you you would be dead. I only made you hallucinate so I can steal your food." Then she slowly disappeared with half the contents of my fridge.
