Gone

It's been months since you left,
But it feels like years.

I miss you dearly,
I'm honestly in tears.

Not because you're gone,
But because of why you are.

I can't do anything about it this time.
I've truly gone too far.

I didn't mean to say it,
It just felt right at the time.

I wish I could take it back,
I wish I could make us shine.

We tried to be together,
But you left me for her.

I wish we could be the something,
That we never were....
