The Inevitable Bond(ON HOLD)

Chapter 5

Bright light enters my eyes and I squint as I try to notice my surroundings. My head throbs with pain as my eyes try to adjust to the light. I shuffle a bit but not much that may catch anyone's attention. My eyes were still closed when I heard muffled whispers. Though they were whispers I could easily recognize them.

"Don't worry Mrs.Mathews , she'll be fine. She'll have to stay here for ... I suppose two more days till she's better to return home. And..." She gave a pause .I was listening to the doctor as she spoke in a serious manner.

She continued " As per what we have analysed she has undergone some serious shocks. The one which happened last night and there may have been more in the past that she might be hiding from you. "I bit my lower lip. What will she say next?

" I suggest you take her to a pschy...."
No no no . Please no psychiatrist. Please stop.
"Um sorry ... What was I just saying? "

"You were going to suggest something." Dad said.
"Oh. Um... I suggest you take care that she feels safe and make her laugh more. Laughter is the best medicine. You know. Now if you'll please excuse me." She greeted them with a smile.

I was totally surprised. How did she just forget ,what she was going to say , a second ago? She stopped abruptly and then went on with something else and done. Anyways I'm happy I'll not have to face that brain squeezing psychiatrist.

I snap out of my thoughts when I feel someone taking my hand. It'as mom. She sat beside me with tears in her eyes and a small smile. Dad was standing beside her his hands on her shoulders. The room had pin drop silence. This silence was deafening.

I decided to break it.

"Hmmm..." I muttered it and shifted towards mom and opened my eyes.

"Oh dear. Thank lord you are awake. How do you feel? "
"Good. It's just the head that bothers a bit."

They both give a big smile, their eyes shining with happiness.
"Steffen please call the doctor."
"Yeah." Dad  says as  he  takes leave.

"Where's Henry?" I snap.

"He's at school. I was protesting not  to leave you. But we managed. He missed you so much dear. Oh and forgot to tell you Shawn was here, to meet you." My face lit up as  I heard his name.
" I told him that we would inform him as soon as you are awake. I'll go call him when the doc finishes her checkup."

"Yeah. Thanks mom." I greet.
"My pleasure dear."

Doctor finishes her quick checkup. Dad went on job after chatting with me for some time. Mom has gone out to call Shawn. I'm sitting alone in the room, staring outside the window at the garden. My hair is made in a loose bun, me wearing the blue hospital gown ,sitting upright on the bed, with a small smile.

"Oh my my. Look at my boyfriend what happened to her. " Shawn cheers in. I glow up as he enters. He was looking as ordinary and handsome as always in red and white striped T-shirt and blue jeans,perfectly made hair and a big smile. No doubt that so many girls had an eye on him.

"Shut up! I'm not your buoyfriend. Can you not greet me with something better?" I pout angrily. Though I was angry with what he said or keeps saying, I mostly liked it.

"Alright alright. I'm sorry. But dear look at you. You really look so messed up..." I stare." But  still  very  much beautiful. "

"Hmm... That sounds good."
"So, how're you? Wait..." He gives a pause and starts looking back at the exit." Issac , where are you? Oh, come come "

"Who's it?" I ask him following his gaze.

My heart starts racing like a horse when I see the person enter. Azure eyes, black shirt, blue knee-length shorts, perfectly made hair and a good smile. It was Issac , the new boy at my college. He had a bouquet of begonias. He was looking quite nifty.
