My eyes blur open to a room full of light.
Uh, I probably got in home late last night.I rub my fingers on the bridge of my nose for my aching head that had just made me groan in pain.
"I should not have drank anything that bar tender tried to 'swade me into drinkin'," my voice echoed angrily through my own ears and creating a conundrum in the drum of my ear.
I glance up lazily and realize I had in fact not made it back home after last night.
Where am I?
Everything I see is white. What is this place?I look down and everything I seem to be wearing is white. I frown.
White everywhere.
Dare I even...? I think as I pull the stretchy waistband of my pants forward.
Couldn't have they given me blue boxers?I lean against the wall and slide down.
White everywhere.
I close my eyes. When I next awaken, it's a metal on metal sound that alerts me. I look forward and they slide a white metal box into my chamber.
I hesitantly stifle my way forward as if nuclear orbs lay inside and self destruct once I open it. You can never be too careful in this kind of situation.
I open the box to find a white spray-painted tin tray, resting atop what seems like more gifts, but there's a note on top of the tin that distracts myself from everything else.A white card with extremely thin black lettering appears in front of my gaze.
'To whom it may concern, you have been chosen on behalf of our company to become apart of a life-changing experiment. Our scientists have found rumours to be wandering about, and you are our first test subject to make that rumour come true, or become false.
Live or die, breathe or drink. You might make it out alive, and you might die. If you shall live, you will be brainwashed and sent back to where you came from. If you die, you will be cremated and our company will be rid of evidence for any such occurrence in this building, or with these people.'I breathe in and out. Why would they do this? ...and who are they?
All I know is, I'm not going to see my wife or daughter, their beautiful green eyes full of life, for a very, very, very, long time. But will my business fail? Will it be taken over by people whom shall treat it unfairly to the public?

Her eyes ablaze with the wilderness of many pains. Her muscles contracting and reacting to the elements surrounding her.
She will never be the same. She will never be the same.
Waking with a sudden start made my brain pound with irritation. I groaned as I realized we'd left the Tv on when we'd dozed off sometime in the night when watching satellite Tv broadcast Thor. Now the television was advertising the no!no!
Why do women look happy when they're about to take hair from their roots in a painful manor? Everything's white and glistening while the woman smiles with brilliantly white teeth.
Advertisers love the reality of things, don't they?
I'm sitting up on the beige couch with a blanket on my knees, as I blink lazily at the Tv.It's when I find the remote on Damion's stomach that I finally lean back and relax. I turn the Tv on to the old reruns of Tom and Jerry.
So peaceful.A couple minutes later, Damion wakes slowly and beacons me over. For a while we just sit like this, curled in each other's arms while watching cartoons. My life has never been this dreamlike.
I suddenly wriggle out of his grasp, remembering that I'd told my mother last night I was just going to Shell and back. I ran to the kitchen where I'd thought there'd be a phone.
"What's going on?" I turned around, seeing him in the doorway, leaning against the doorframe.
"I told my mom I was going somewhere for five minutes last night, and I never came back. Knowing her, she probably called the police by now. Or even last night."
I sighed, putting my hands on my hips."You have a phone?" I asked after moment of silence.
He just nodded and handed me his cell phone, which seemed to be from the 1950's.
"Really old phone..." I said with a smile.
I dialled my hope's number and cringed as the tone picked up into my mother's voice."Hello? Are you the kidnapper? What do you want?" She said through obvious tears that I could clearly hear from the speaker.
"No, mom. I'm fine. I just went out because I got freaked out about the story on the news, so I needed some air." I explained quickly.
"So you went out in the middle of nowhere without telling us where you were for the past twelve hours, with a serial killer on the loose?" She's not dealing with this well, considering she's shouting into the phone.
"I'll be home soon. I'm about an hour and a half away from home."
Before she could reply, I got scared and shut the phone, disconnecting from any further words that don't need to be said.
"Well, here's my cell number, and you should text me. Gotta go." I did a quick wave and exited through the back door. I was halfway to my car when quickened footsteps fell into rhythm with mine and and hand latched onto my arm.
I turned around and Damion's lips were on mine for a brief, but heavenly moment.
"I just thought I'd end this on a happy note, considering you're about to get your butt kicked into your room for the next five weeks by your mother. Bye."
Standing there stunned, I watch his retreating figure as he ran back into the house.
One day. Only one day with a guy and it escalated to this.I shook my head at the thought and scrambled into my car and went home to my angry mother.
