Part Two

Niall made his way over to Louis. He kneeled, on one knee before him, eyes full of concern. The way he firmly, yet softly grabbed his wrist, and the way his eyes were such a serene, calm blue color actually made Louis rethink his whole act, but only for a split second.

Niall's captivatingly smooth voice brought him back. "Do you want me to get some water?"

Stan's obvious irritation with the situation made its debut when he his glare dropped to the seemingly over concerned Niall. He watched, obviously annoyed, at how he stopped everything at the drop of a hat to assess the damage, or lack there of.

Louis stood up quickly, and pushed Niall back to his desk. "No, no. I'll get it. I've distracted you two enough."

"Damn right." Stan replied.

Niall just glared at Stan before giving his attention back to Louis. "You sure?"

He gave him a nervous smile in reply, then nodded his head an excessive amount of times, trying to vividly get his point across.

"Excuse me, lads." Louis said quickly leaving the room and storming down the hall.

Ed's smile (given to him from watching Nick fall off his chair trying to reach a out of reach index card) dropped at the sight of his livid best friend's appearance.

"What on God's green Earth do you idiots think you're doing?" Louis mildly yelled as soon as he stepped into the conference room.

"Great, great things, Lou." Harry said smiling, waving the stacks of paper in his hands.

"This?" Louis asked pointing to the walls. "This is progress?"

The walls were covered in papers tapped up in weird patterns, with little thoughts scribbled onto them.

"To you it may look like nothing, but to us this is a master piece." Ed said kissing his clenched fingers. "It's like my kid. Never been so proud in my life."

Louis walked over the one of the windows and snatch a piece of paper off and read aloud: "'Navy blue shirt, blue jeans, and vans'. What is this?"

"Not only is it a cute outfit, but it's also an idea." Nick said with a snarky tone, ripping the paper from his hand. "You could use some help with your fashion sense, but don't bother coming to me after that comment."

Louis rolled his eyes at the statement, watching annoyingly as Harry laughed, thinking it was the funniest thing he's ever heard in his life.

"You used whole sheets of paper and put one or two words on them." Louis screamed (glad the conference room was constructed of sound proof walls). "Have you guys actually lost your minds?"

"In our defense-" Nick spoke raising his hands. "We would have used sticky notes, but we couldn't find any."

"Plus, they would have taken so much longer to take down." Ed added.

Harry nodded his head in agreement, making his way towards him, smiling smugly. Ed and Nick sat back, happy, ready to see what Louis' reaction will be (to the things to come).

Louis was about to open his mouth again, but Harry held a finger to his lips. "Before you blow your top, we didn't do this to just waste paper. We did three things."

"Humor me." Louis spoke around his finger.

"Harry helped me compose a résumé." Nick said smugly, handing over the final copy.

Harry moved out the way and sat on the corner of the conference rooms long wooden table, trying to gage Louis' reaction.

Louis just rolled his eyes. He knows for a fact 99.99% of that was crap. The other .1% he didn't want to know.

Nick just snatched the paper out of his hand and said, "This sheet of paper is going to get me a buttload of jobs, just watch, Tomlinson."

Louis just laughed in a menacing way, and turned to Ed. "Show me what else you got."

"He helped me design new fliers for my gigs." Ed said handing his sheet over.

On the white paper was a stick figure holding a crappily drawn guitar, singing (indicated by music notes coming out of his mouth), holding a beer.

"It just the rough draft, but it gets out the message." Ed explained.

"What exactly is 'the message'?" Louis asked. "Drunk red head has a guitar?"

"No!" Ed said, sassily snatching the paper out of his hand, glaring at him. "It's means, if you come see me play, first beer is on us."

"Well, why don't you just put that on there? No one wants to read a freaking hieroglyphic." Louis said rolling his eyes. "How are you even benefiting from that?"

"We hope if you stick around long enough you'll buy a couple more." Ed snapped. "Stop being so mean."

"I'm, not being mean, I'm being practical."

"I've got an agreement with the pub Nick use to work at." Ed winked.

Louis nodded his head and turned to Nick. "So you quit?"

"Um, not really. Im just going to not show up more than I already do-don't?, for a longer period of time, and hope they get it." Nick said shrugging.

Harry slid in front of Nick and Ed, excited. "Ask me the third thing I did."

"What is the third thing you did, Harry?"

"I came up with some ideas for the book with Liam." Harry said proudly. "And I hope your happy that I'm finally taking action for once and came to the table prepared, with ideas."

Louis was but he wasn't going to tell him that. Instead he just nodded solemnly.

"Right, now I want all of this off the glass and off the walls by the time I come back. Two thirty." Louis said pointing at all the waisted paper. "This better be gone."

Harry frowned slightly, not receiving the praise he thought he deserved, but decided to get to work any how.
