The lifeless eyes stare away into the dark night disappearing into a deep dark abyss not known by anyone but only to him. Leaning by the glass window, the unforgettable scene plays in his mind like a broken record player. Unknowingly, his eyes glisten with tears as they stream down his pale skin wetting his black Armani shirt. He does nothing and was still lost in the buried memories that still haunt him till now.

“Hi by.” He greeted the all too familiar face with a warm sloppy kiss to her forehead and a light peck to her lips.
“Hi Ji. Why did you ask me to come here? You have another surprise for me is it?” the girl asked looking deep into his eyes looking for clues. Since he wouldn’t answer her, she poked his side since she knew that he was sensitive at that spot.
“Yah. What was that for?” he asked and pouted.
“You won’t say anything. Why did you call me out suddenly? It’s pretty late now you know.” This time, it was her turn to pout. Unable to resist her adorable cute face, he pinched her cheeks as she tried to pry his hands off her face.
“It’s a surprise. Come. Close your eyes and let me guide you somewhere,” he said excitedly. He covered her eyes with his right hand as he guided her up to the rooftop of the apartment. He started counting 1 to 3 as he released his hand and guide her to a chair.
He disappeared for a moment and when he came back, he was holding a bouquet of white roses in his hand and a small cupcake in his left hand. The red velvet cupcake was beautifully decorated by him with a small burning candle placed in the middle. He placed the cupcake on the table and started singing a special birthday song to her which he composed two days ago. He knew that he wouldn’t make it back in Korea on her birthday so he decided to give her an early birthday surprise. The whole celebration was simple. He didn’t want to invite anyone else since he wanted to spend the night with her alone.
“Thank you so much, Ji! I love you so much!” she squealed in excitement. This was one of the sweetest things he ever did for her. She got up and gave him a peck but obviously, the boyfriend wanted more so he kissed her again. “Thank you again Ji. This has got to be the best birthday surprise I ever had in my entire life. You’re so sweet Ji.”
“I’m sorry again that I won’t make it on your birthday. My schedule was pretty crazy in that week,” he explained as his gaze shifted down. He felt guilty for not being there on her special day. “I understand Ji. Don’t take it out on yourself. I understand your situation, Ji. I’ll still love you no matter what,” she said sweetly trying to comfort him.
The two lovers spent the whole night doing things together trying to make up for the upcoming days that would be hectic for both of them which would limit their chances of meeting with each other.

She had been avoiding him recently and he didn’t know why. He tried to ask her a few times but his effort was to no avail. She wouldn’t answer his calls and she even moved out of her old apartment. Her whereabouts was still unknown and no one knew where she disappeared.
