The next morning, I woke up at about 9:30. It was a Monday morning, which meant I had class and the boys had practice.

I got out of bed, threw on some jeans, flip flops, and Bruins shirt, and put a little but of makeup on. My hair was still relatively curled, so I grabbed my curler, curled my hair just a little bit more and pinned back my bangs. I walked downstairs and too see that Tuukka and Lucic had already left.

Adam was in the kitchen, drinking coffee.

"Can you please pick me up for lunch today?" I asked him.

"No, I'll be all sweaty after practice," he replied. I gave him a look.

"I've been around hockey my whole life. Your stink doesn't affect me," I told him. He laughed.

"Fine. I'll be there at noon," he gave in. I grinned. I typically won "arguements" between me and the guys.

"Yay! Thanks, Quaider," I singsonged as I grabbed my keys and left. I got into my car and drove off towards the college I went to, Boston College.

Adam and I had been friends, but I really never got to know him really well. And after he saved my butt at the bar, I was kind of curious.

I'd also never had a crush in any of the Bruins before. Yeah, lots of them were pretty attractive and funny, but for some reason I never thought if them like that. They were mostly like brothers, friends, you get the point. I also was pretty close to the staff. I worked as an intern for the Bruins medical team, and at the hospital the Bruins used as their official hospital. So I definitely saw a lot of the guys.

I pulled up to the college and got out, noticing my friends waiting for me.

"Hey!" Natalie shouted with a wave I grinned and ran over to them.

"What's up?" Hanna asked.

"Learning," I joked as the girls groaned. I met the girls in our freshmen year of college. We were all majoring in medicine, and we had been friends up until now, our senior year. "It's almost over, just a few more months and we'll be free!"

"Thank gosh. My mother has not stopped bugging me about my college choice," Hanna complained. Hanna came from a rich family, and they tried to pressure her to go to Harvard or Yale or some other big shot school. But she hated the rich life, and went her own way. Natalie, on the other hand, came from a broken family, and they were more than happy to support her dreams if going to BC.

Finally, after two classes, noon rolled around. As we walked down the hall, my phone buzzed with a message from Adam.

'I'm waiting outside'

I smiled.

"Hey, Al, you joining us for pizza?" Natalie asked. I shook my head.

"Sorry guys. Adam said he'd pick me up and take me somewhere," I told them. Hanna grinned.

"Ooh! Ally and Adam sitting in a tree, K I S S I N-" I cut her off.

"Yeah right! We're only friends," I told them.

"Whatever you say, Ally!" Natalie giggled as they walked away. I rolled y eyes with a laugh as I spotted Adam'a car. I ran over to it and climbed in.

"Man, you do stink!" I joked, holding my nose. Adam laughed.

"Did you think I was lying?"

"I thought you'd at least shower," I replied with a grin. Adam laughed and shook his head before driving to Subway. We got our food and walked around for a bit after we were done eating. My next class wasn't until 2, so we had about an hour and a half.

We walked down Boylston St., just having random conversation. It was nice. I found out that Adam grew up with his mom Rachel, his sister Alice, and his brother Nathan. He was the youngest. His dad died serving in the military when Adam was four. Nathan lived in Vancouver with his fiancé, Maddie, and Alice lived in Chicago with her husband, Wes and son, Daniel.

He learned that I grew up with my mom and dad, along with my brother, Freddie. Fred lived in Winnipeg with his wife, Daniela, and twin daughters, Marie and Serena.

I also learned that Adam used to know how to play guitar, and he learned everything he knew from Nathan, who learned from their dad. Also, when Adam was in high school, he had a really strong drive to join the Army, and be like his dad, but something made him continue hockey instead, but he didn't tell me what.

"Unfortunately, I should be getting you back to school," Adam told me, checking his phone. I made a pouty face.

"I don't wanna go back," I pouted, holding on to his arm. He laughed.

"I don't want you to go back. I could probably talk to you all day," he said. I felt heat creeping up my cheeks, but I managed to keep my cool.

"Same to you."

Back at school, the girls bugged me to death about how lunch went. I told them the basics. We went to Subway, and then walked around Boston.

I definitely meant to leave out the whole blush part.

And the fact that I maybe had a crush on Adam McQuaid.
