Chapter 3: Angels, Vampires, and Bastards.

I am sooo sorry for my late update. I was on vacation(: and i couldn't type an entire chapter on an iPhone.

Chapter 3: Angels, Vampires, and Bastards. 

Jace’s Point of View

I carried her to a classroom and locked the doors shut. I dropped her on top of the couch-like seat next to the bay window.

I slid down the classroom wall and sat the floor with my knees up and arms crossed.

Oh, my god. This girl was going to be really hard to handle.  Why did the Nathanial even want such an annoying girl like her?

Everything about her screamed human. No elegance, no respect, no values. She couldn’t be an angel.  Nor could she be a fallen angel. I mean she’s way too good of a girl for that.

However, her eyes seriously surprised me. I mean at first she seemed like an ordinary human. Stupid. Bubbly. Self-centered. Even her eyes were an ordinary boring forest green.

Nothing special really.

But as soon as our eyes met, it was like fire spreading from her inner pupil toward the outside. Colors of orange, red, and yellow branched out.  Her eyes reminded me of how the leaves on the trees changed colors during the fall.

I laughed at the irony of her name.  Autumn.

I had read about this inside the Book of Enoch and several legends. A story about a creature whose eyes were red as fire. There was something special about this creature, but I couldn’t find it in any of the texts.

Finally I decided that it was all a myth. Probably some stupid human writer decided to make up a new supernatural creature. I mean seriously, they think werewolves and vampires are real. Obviously, a human made it up.

On top of that, legend says that she was half angel and half fallen angel, which was beyond impossible. The angels despised us fallen angels. I mean we were cursed.  And they were, well, angels.

Humans are idiots.

Damn it!  Why the hell did her eyes turn a different color? This girl is pissing me off.

And she fainted when she saw me. What the hell was that? It was like she was in shock or something. Something was happening within her.

I mean, I didn’t let her know I was shocked when she fell, but still it was really creepy.

I heard a groan from the couch-like seat. Great, now I have to deal with her overconfidence and stupidity.

“Wake up.” I said gently nudging her with my foot.

She got up, rubbing her head. “Shit. My head really hurts… What the heck just happened?”

Autumn’s POV

The blood was rushing to my head and my brain was throbbing. As, I got up I felt a sharp pain in my back.

 “Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. What the heck did you do my back!?”
