"We have 50 subscribers!" Jenn beamed. "That sucks, Jenn." Em grunted. "Yeah, we only have like 100 views." I said. "It's a start guys don't be so negative." Jenn said as we turned into the cafeteria. "That video has been up for almost a month now." I said running my fingers through my almond colored wavy hair.

"These things take time." Jenn said eyeing something behind me. "What." She snapped at something behind me. I turned to see Carter standing casually in front of me. "You're just a little ray of sunshine." He smiled sarcastically to Jenn. "Dani I need to talk to you about our History project." He added pushing me lightly out of the cafeteria.

We walked down the hallway and made a right into a more narrow hallway that led us to the wood working room. "I haven't seen you in ages." He said finally. "It's been like week." I scoffed sitting on the wooden table used for sawing. "Day three and nine were last week and this day three I have a cross country meet." He huffed.

"Aw." I smiled ruffling his hair. "Look at my little nerd being all athletic." I cooed. He laughed, slinking his thin hands around my waist and stepping towards me to stand between my legs. "I didn't know you were such a good singer." He said looking offended.

My stomach jumped at his comment. "What do you- oh." I said embarrassed. "What, you thought I wouldn't see it?" He asked. "Half the school has seen it." He added. "Not according to the 100 hundred views." I chuckled. "If half the school had seen it we would have a lot more views." I said draping my arms over his shoulders and hooking my hands together around his neck.

No hesitation ran through his mysterious eyes before his crashed his lips into mine harder than usual. It still however remained a mere kiss. No tongues, no intense touching, and no groaning like in the movies.

The loudest scream echoed into the room faster than someone could say any one syllable word. Me and Carter pulled apart immediately to see a open mouthed screeching Jenn in the doorway.

Em stood with her hand over her mouth but bright eyes, as if enjoying the dramatic moment. And Amber simply had her arms crossed over her chest. She flicked her newly dyed purple tips over her shoulder and Jenn barreled into the room.

"Jenn please let me explain." I pleaded pathetically. "Oh! I know exactly what's going here!!" She shouted.

I froze in confusion and terror.

"You do?" I asked.

"Yep." She said clicking her head to the side.

We anxiously awaited her answer for a couple moments.

"This little bitch seduced you into coming in here!!" She yelled raising her hand up as if to slap Carter in the face. "Oh my god!" I said standing in front of him to stop her. "What are you doing?" She said wrinkling her eyebrows.

"Jenn we need to talk about this." I said feeling flustered. "There's nothing to-" She stopped herself, her eyes wandering the room. "Wait you don't- you don't actually like him do you?" She asked. "I can explain everything just-" I frantically turned to Carter waved my hands to signal some type of goodbye before pulling Jenn out of the room, Amber and Em following.

"So you've been dating since last year?" Jenn asked. We had gotten back to the cafeteria and discussed me and Carter's rendezvous for a little. I nodded shyly. "That's a bitch move Dani." She said looking more mad than I had ever seen her before. "It wasn't all my fault though! I mean, obviously I shouldn't have lied to you but, you didn't make it easy for me to tell you." I explained. "Yeah that's because I hate him. And it's weird." She snapped. "Exactly!" I exclaimed. "You would have been mad." I said.

She sighed loudly and ran her fingers through her straight air. "Okay!" She said. "You're right I would have freaked out." She said quieter. "But you still lied Dani. For a year." She said. "I know." I whispered. "And I'm so sorry Jenn. So so so sorry." I said genuinely. I looked to Amber and Jenn across the table wearily and they liked back with serious faces.

"If we want this band to work, lying ends here." Amber said. "She's right. We need to be completely honest with each other." Em said. "I totally agree." I said. "I promise from here on out, there's no more lying." I said. "Alright." Jenn breathed. "Everyone pinky swear right now." She said.

We all hooked our pinkies together and said "I promise." Laughing afterwards. "Well since you know now, I haven't actually been going to year book club on days 3 and 9." I said. "What do you do? Make out with Carter?" Jenn asked. I remained quiet before answering. "Oh my gosh, ew. This is gonna take some getting used to." She said shaking her head.

"So will this YouTube channel, but from here on out we all have each other no matter what. Am I right?" I said. "Right." Amber smiled. "Right." Em said. We all looked to Jenn who had her hands on her forehead. "Right!" She breathed looking up with a smile. "Right." She repeatedly quietly.

Later that night my dad came home for the first time in a week. Being a cop, he didn't travel much. But he had been in California for a week honoring a fallen cop that was part of the LAPD. "Hey, Daniella!" He called walking through the door. We lived in a one floor apartment, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and one lazy cat.

"Who's  Daniella?" I called back, looking up from my science notebook. "Just come over here." He said laughing. I opened the door to my bedroom and walked down the narrow hallway, meeting him in the living room.

"Brought you back a t-shirt from LA." He beamed handing me a shirt that said "Cali Girl" on it. "Thanks I'll be sure to give it to my friend Kalli." I said sarcastically. He disregarded my comment and moved on. "So how was the week?" He asked. "Fine." I answered. "No visits from that boyfriend of yours?" He teased.

"Shut up." I said slightly laughing. "Haven't you always wanted to be a singer?" He asked after a couple moments of silence. "Well, yeah." I said thinking of the band. "I sent you an email, check it out later." He smiled picking up his suitcase and walking to his room.

"I'll be sure to delete it." I scoffed.
