Chapter 6

Latter we are packing up all of our thing and Bryn walk in

"Are you okay leaving" she says watching me fold my shirts

"Yah I mean it's not like we have a choice. I'm not strong enough to stand up to what's coming and you aren't either" I said putting down my last shirt and looking at her

"I know but we could try" she said not wanting to force me

"No we need to leave" I said zipping up my duffle bag and pick it up

"Okay" she said walking out with me to put it in my car

When we get to my car to put my bag in Cath is standing by the back with her stuff in the trunk

"What do you think your doing" I said almost telling she won't ride with me

"Getting ready to leave with you" she said not taking a no for an answer

"Okay Kara I took you phone and made a call" Trever said holding my phone and giving it to me

"DUDE!!" I said looking at him and taking my phone back

"Sorry we are picking up.... Well Allie on our way" he said waiting to get hit

"No" Bryn said right as he stopped talking

"She doesn't have to ride with you" he said holding to change her answer

"Don't care she's not coming" she said being stubborn as always

"Well tough shit" he said not caring any more

"Then who is she riding with I'm taking Kath and we need the back" I said not letting her ride with me

"Fine your ex best friend can ride with me" he said giving up

"Okay let's go" I said turning around and getting in my car and then Kath gets in and we watch Bryn get in her truck and Trever get in his car

"This will be fun. A road trip we haven't had one of these in years" she said happy

"Sure whatever helps you sleep at night" I said starting the car and moving forward

"Come on what's wrong" she says sympathetic

"We aren't in the 8th grade any more Kath" I said not looking at her

"You bitch you don't want Allie with us at all" she said partly yelling at me

"Did you forget she tried to kill me TWICE" I said looking at her and back at the road

"So" she said looking at the grip I had on my steering wheel

"Kara calm down you don't know what you're doing" she said picking up her phone and calling Bryn

"Hello? What going on is Kara having another temper tantrum?" She said trying to help

"No not really I mean tened Allie"she said thinking

" why would you do that"

"I'm sorry I didn't know" she said regretting it

"Kara listen to me it's okay she won't kill you I promise" Bryn said calming me and I release my grip

We finally get in town and every memory floods back
