~1 Week Later~

Dear Diary,

Its been about a week since I talked to Riley. I miss her but I'm still mad at her. She had NO right to tell Bertie anything. She's still trying to convince me to forgive her. I want to I really do but I just can't bring myself to do it. She broke the promise she made to me and I don't know how long it will take me to forgive her. Tomorrow me and Riley are going to meet up at the park and to talk. This morning she texted me and asked me if I could meet her up at the park tomorrow, of course I said yes she's my best friend and I do miss her.

The Next Morning

When I woke up I look at my phone to see that I had 11 miss calls 15 texts and 7 voice mails. I didn't want to be rude, so I listened to the first voice mail. In the beginning he was speaking soft then he stated yelling slurs that where hurtful and that made me realize that Nolan was drunk. All the things Nolan said were hurtful but I just shrugged it off.

I got up and took a quick shower then got dressed in my bra and underwear, a pair of black high-waisted skinny jeans, a white crop top that read "TEENAGE DIRTBAG" in big bold black letters, and my black vans. Finally I tied my red and black flannel around my waist.

I walk downstairs to the kitchen and found a note on the fridge that read:

Dear Nikki,

I had to leave for work early and I didn't want to wake you up, so I took Brook to Skylynn's house because she us going to Disney world with them. I might get off my shift late so I'm going to need you to check in on the Grier boys though for cause their parents want to make sure they are ok. I left you some money on the counter if you get hungry. See you when I get home.

Mom.

I look at the counter and see $50 on the counter, I put it in my wallet and checked my phone for the time and saw that I had a text from Riley.

Riley: Meet me at the park.

After I read Riley's message I began to walk to the park. It took me about 10 minutes to get to the park and when I got there I saw Riley sitting on the swings waiting for me. I stayed silent as I approached her at the swings and sat on the one next to her.

"Hey Nikki" She said a little nervously. "How you been?"

"Fine" I said, watching as Riley played with her necklace. It's what she does when she's either nervous or lying.

"And you? Your kind of pale." I said making Riley shifted on the swing a bit like she was scared.

"I'm fine I just caught a fever."

"You sure about that?" I said making Riley was play with her necklace a lot.

"Yeah I'm fine."

"Stop lying ." I said in a dull tone.

"I'm not." She said defending herself, but still lying.

"Yea, you are. Riley I know you better than anyone and I know that when you're lying you play with your necklace. So just tell me the truth or I'm leaving."

" Ok, Ok." She said frantically. "Um...last night I woke up because Nolan was banging on the door. He was obviously drunk and I could smell the alcohol on him. He pushed me out the way and barged in, before I could close the door. He started shouting at me saying a bunch of shit I didn't understand. Then he started throwing things and shouting at me and saying it was my fault that you guys broke up."Riley paused and took a deep breath. She was clearly on the verge of crying.
