Chapter 5 (Getting to know more about you)

early tuesday Morning, someone texted me.

from: 0926.........

"Hi, musta ka? can i see you this afternoon mga 3pm at starbucks".

to: 0926.........

"hello, okay naman ako. sino ba ito? i mean kilala ba kita"?
i replied

from: 0926.......

"kilalang kilala mo ako. kaso you still don't know my name. basta see me later. wait for u there".

to: 0926........

"i don't go easily with strangers. sabihin mo muna kung sino ka".
i replied

from: 0926........

"Fine, i'm the guy whom you fought with at toy kingdom".

to: 0926......

"Okay, wait for me der".... i replied

*MAINE's POV*

aaminin ko, i really waited and expect for a text from him. and now he texted me. i feel excited, scared. and with mixed emotionals. i don't know what to say. basta Maine, act natural ka lng sa lalaking yon. wag na wag ka bibigay sa itsura niyang gwapo.

Time check: 2pm

okay, i have to get ready. 3pm ang date ko. ayyy este, meeting namin. sana this will work. teka, ano kaya ang dahilan kung bakit niya ako niyaya makipag-coffee?

kaya nga makipagkita para to know more about ourselves diba? hay nako, bobo ko talaga kahit kailan. it's already 2:30pm, i dressed up na. naka tiffany blue simple dress lng ako. hindi naman yun date. kalma! and naka flat shoes lng.

"Manong driver"!!!!! sigaw ko

"opo ma'am"! he said.

"Manong pedro, sa starbucks nga tayo".

"yes po"!

sa wakas, dumating na ako.
kinakabahan ako nito.
when i went in, nakita ko siya umuupo waiting for someone and obviously it's me. he waved at me. and pumunta naman ako sakanya ng mahina.

"hey"! he said

"hi" sabi ko rin naman

"have you're seat"

"thank you, and bakit mo ba ako niyaya dito? we're strangers". i said

"no we are not! by the way, i'm Alden Richards. and you are"?

"I'm Maine Mendoza. nice to meet you"!

"well, the reason is. i want to know more about you're childhood. can you please"?

"what? why? ano bang connection mo sakin and why so concerned"?
i said.

"I'm just suspicious at my childhood kasi i lost one friend which is we promised each other that someday, we're getting married". he said

*ALDEN's POV*

tama ang narinig ninyo. when i was a child.....

*flashback*
"meng!! meng!!! "

"uyyy, Tisoy!!

kring kring,

"ay Meng, nagbell na o! see you later! muahhh"!!

"okay bye bye"!!!

dumating ang sundo ni Meng and fetch her. narinig ko ang pinag-uusapan nila.

"anak, we're moving to US later night so prepare for yourself".

"really, mommy"? yayyyy!!

umalis na sila ni Meng with her mom. i was really sad and had a teary eye. i remembered when we promise with each other na we will marry someday.
naalala ko pa theme song namin na "god gave me you".

*end of the flashback*

"wait Maine, ano bang nickname mo"? i asked

"They call me Meng bakit"?

may possibility talaga na siya ang hinahanap ko.

"saan ka nag-aral elementary to highschool"? i asked

"sa United States, bakit ba"?

before umalis si Meng yung ka childhood ko, kinder 2 siya. so malamang elementary ang start niya sa US.

"yung ka childhood mo? anong tawag mo sa lalaking yun"? i asked.

"UMM, Alden. hindi ko na naalala pero mukhang T-T-isoyy? hindi ko talaga alam". she said.

ngunit i didn't told her na siya ang ka childhood ko. i need to be so sure bago ko siya pagsabihan. ayokong umaasa kami sa wala.

"ITS JUST GETTING TO KNOW YOU, MENG".
i said.
